Amy Watkins | 4 comments Hi all! Check out my new novel, 200 Letters by Amy Watkins. It is a spirited novel about two people trying to escape abusive relationships and finding love, strength, and endurance through their struggle. They are faced with the harshest of obstacles (hatred, jealousy, manipulation, physical danger, and social injustice) on their journey. This page turner is filled with passion, drama, suspense and spiritual enlightenment. Note, this book is for mature audiences only as it has some graphic details. Xena Romanova (xenaromanova) | 1 comments Hello everyone!
I just published my first book:
"Xena: Life as a Dominatrix"
Found on Amazon: https://amazon.com/author/xenaromanova

"Xena: Life as a Dominatrix is a story spanning almost 20 years. It chronicles my personal challenges that I have endured: past abuse, depression, relationships, and family issues. Essentially, the ability to balance the fantasy with the reality of living this lifestyle. Xena: Life as a Dominatrix was therapeutic to write. It helped me deal with my own past personal struggles. It’s the journal of early childhood to my present day. My story offers insight into the realm of BDSM; offering exploration on human sexuality, fetishes, and the exciting world of BDSM. Some people have a negative viewpoint on the BDSM world and yet, we’re all freaks of nature. Each one of us is turned on by different fetishes and desires."

Hiba Basit | 3 comments Dear Readers,
I have published a debut psychological suspense novel called 'The Tightrope': https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tightrope-Hi...

I'd appreciate a few more reviews and, in exchange, I am happy to review your book. It's free for all kindle unlimited and kindle lenders library - otherwise £1.99.

Writing is a healing process. Reading is a magical experience...

Although a work of fiction, most of my experiences from my novel ‘The Tightrope’ were drawn from my various roles working in mental health. It's a difficult job and upsetting events often become the norm - but then there’s something else. When patients surprise you…when you have that moment where you both can see the light…when you realise there’s hope out there…and it crossed my mind, that there’s both hardship and beauty in our roles, and I knew a lot of people would be able to relate to this. Putting pen to paper was simply the only way for me to process my experiences and share these with you.

I hope to hear back, thanks!

Hiba Basit

Thanks for letting me post. I am a first-time author, and I have published a memoir called, "Will That Be Regular or Ethyl?". It describes my early life, through high school, in rural Missouri along Route 66, during the 1950s. The title of the book comes from my experiences working at a gas station on the famous Mother Road.

I would really like some reviews! It is available on Amazon as an ebook, and in print as a soft cover. Please give me your reactions to the book and post them on Goodreads.

Thanks.

Tom Gabbay (tomgabbay) | 5 comments Access Point

A nice review from Blue Ink is out today:

The murder of a young American art student in London provides the catalyst for Access Point, a compelling thriller with science fiction and mystery elements.

The victim, Mia Fraser, isn't alive for much of the story, having perished at the hand of an unseen assailant. Regardless, readers follow her through many of her experiences because after Mia's death, her memories were uploaded into the mind of Ula Mishkin, who had been renting a room to Mia.

Ula, who lost much of her own long-term memory after an accident that left her comatose for a year, hopes to figure out who killed Mia—at least at first. But the longer Ula dwells in Mia's memories, the more complex her relationship becomes with the dead woman who lives on in her mind.

At the same time, Mia's murder is being investigated by a police detective, Sarah Boyd, whose role through much of the book is to chase down red herrings until the requisite showdown with the story's true villain.
Access Point is a notable change of pace for author Tom Gabbay, who previously wrote a series of well-received spy thrillers published in hardcover by William Morrow. This book explores some interesting metaphysical concepts, such as following a character who actively responds to events around her, despite only existing in an artificial world created from her memories.

The story often plays with the reader's expectations of what's actually occurring—and from whose perspective—when Ula and/or Mia are front and center. That works for the most part, although the chronology remains a bit convoluted, and some key characters could have used more fleshing out.

Access Point is not a whodunit but a psychological thriller with compelling explorations of memory, obsession, and identity. Readers will find it an intriguing and entertaining read.

Lucky Stevens | 28 comments Hello! Great to be a member. I have written a novel about four gay friends and lovers living in 1950s Los Angeles. Dealing with harsh conditions including fear of arrest, possible job loss, and stifling expectations of conformity, the group comes up with a brilliant and highly unusual scheme to live freely and avoid harassment. Their unique idea works well at first but ultimately leads to unexpected complexities and issues, dovetailing into valuable lessons about the high cost of blending in—or not.

My book is called The Duplex (launch date May 12th) and I hope you will check it out on Amazon. I think you will enjoy it, as others have.

Thank you!

Michele Chynoweth (michelechynoweth) | 2 comments Hi, hope you are all safe and well during these crazy times! My newest novel, The Jealous Son (a modern-day murder mystery that re-imagines the Bible story of Cain and Abel) is being released May 1st on e-book (currently avail. in hard cover and paperback wherever books are sold, pub. 3/31/20) and I would appreciate reviews - and will enter you to win giveaways! It is a contemporary suspense with a little romance, considered "edgy" inspirational fiction, that is a fast-paced novel following the story of two brothers and the mom who loses them both...it delves into the pain of sibling rivalry, jealousy, the opioid crisis, addiction, suicide, loss...and finding faith again no matter what you are facing in life.
Link to review on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/163...
Kirkus Reviews calls it "a bold, tragic and emotionally exploratory drama." Find out more on my website (https://michelechynoweth.com/) Thank you! Michele Chynoweth, Author

Daniel Gale | 1 comments I released my first novel this week and would love to get some reviews on it!

WHISPERING EVERYTHING SWEET is a coming of age fiction that follows the story of a young distance runner of modest talent from high school into college and beyond. It is an introspective look into the sport and emphasizes the juxtaposition between running and relationships (love and the bond of friendship.) It is much more than a distance runner's story, but that is definitely at the heart of it.

Go give it a look and tell me what you think!

I loved this book for all the reasons you mentioned and also for the beautiful lyrical prose. I read some comments from people who found the magic unsettling. For me, it was essential. What a beautiful way of reaching for and understanding the importance of hope when living lives filled with such tragedy.

Sabine Campbell (sabine_g_campbell) | 1 comments Hello, I am very excited to be a member of this group. I belonged to Good Reads years ago and have recently found my way back. I recently released my book "An Unexpected Road to Motherhood" after almost two years since writing it.

It is the story of my journey to get married and become a mother and the six years that followed. It tells of how my life did not go as planned and how, because of it, I became the stronger version of the wife and mother that I am today.

"Most little girls dream of meeting their Prince Charming, getting married, and becoming a mother like something they read in a fairy tale. For some lucky girls, life goes just as planned but for others, the fairy tale gets rewritten into something that reads more like a mystery. And then, there are girls like me whose story turns out to be a little bit of both. Like the fairy tale, I met my Prince Charming and we got married, but then my road to motherhood became unexpected, complicated, and unpredictable just like a good mystery. Fortunately, I always knew that life had a plan for me and that if I never gave up, I would one day find my happy ending."

I would welcome the opportunity to share this with someone. If you are interested in reading it, please reply and I will send you a copy.

Thank you any and all for your support.

My books is also for sale at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Wendy W Webb | 1 comments Hi! I've never joined a goodreads book club before tonight, so please forgive me if I did something wrong. My name is Wendy Webb and I had two books published at virtually the same time, and then the world turned upside down with the pandemic. If you have time and interest, I would so appreciate your thoughts on my books. So many thanks to all of you.

Widow's Walk by Wendy Webb
Widow's Walk is a gothic, supernatural novel of a woman who has waited to finish what she started a long time ago. Except she's been dead 200 years, and no one knows how to fight back.

Eye of the Gargoyle by Wendy Webb
Eye of the Gargoyle starts at a metaphysical conference where Camille Dare finds an envelope filled with travel documents, a photograph, a bloody scarf, and a directive from an anonymous person. Part memoir, part travel, an unusual missing person case and her own quest for self-understanding sends Camille to points around the world.

The complete change of the world as we know, the fascination of this man with the new world, him missing his family of a century ago is the story, first n a series of short stories.
