(view spoiler)[ Ugh, why did they have to cut so much out of the movies?! I really liked the bit between Aunt Petunia and Harry. They may not like each other, but it seems that they are getting closer to an understanding. And Mrs. Figg is a mood lol (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ So much left out of the movie. I hadn't realized. First, i love Tonks. She's my favorite new character so far. Mostly because we have that clumsy thing in common. lol. Mad Eye is even more paranoid than I remember him being. But I think that saves lives in the end, especially in the time they are in with Voldemort back. Percy was always a brat, but now more than ever. I hate that he was so horrible to Mr. Weasley. So ungrateful. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I love Mrs. Weasley so much right now. It was so sweet of her to say that Harry was her son as well. Harry went from having no one to a whole family. Poor Sirius is so bored and it's obvious he's not used to being useless. I had to draw out his family tree. I really love all the details int he stories. (hide spoiler)]

I knew from the films that Umbridge would basically take control of the school, but reading is more infuriating. Obviously a supporter of Voldemort, I thought she would be a Death Eater, but I guess not. Assuming Sirius would know them all. Too bad Percy isn't there. He would just love her. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ The most shocking part is that Hermione came up with the idea of him teaching. That is so out of character for her. I have to say, as much as I hate Umbridge, it was nice for someone to put Snape in his place. (hide spoiler)]

But I think the main thing that I got from it was how much pain could have been avoided with communication to Harry from everyone and him thinking things through. He always wants to be the hero and sometimes he needs to sit back and plan ahead. There was such a variety of characters, with the new Order and I love them. And older characters like Ginny really got fleshed out more. (hide spoiler)]
