Okay time for me to explain something :p

So I man the self-scan machines (yknow the do it yourself machines in the supermarkets) and one of them was broken when I started my turn over there. I assume the supervisor was told, so I'm there for an hour and a half until it's time for me to go home. The supervisor comes over and notices it and loses her shit at me, saying 'why did no one tell me, it makes me mad blah blah blah'. I say 'oh sorry I thought you knew' and she said 'no now I need to find the bloody phone and sort it out now' and I said 'ah okay sorry'. By this point it's 5min past hometime and I'm still there. I'm getting titchy because I stayed later the previous night too because they needed me (again no thanks after my 8hr shift) and I stayed an extra 20min for this lady to sort her shit out, and she's just grumpy with me the whole time when it's not even my fault. Just get rid of the damn self-scan machines and everyone's happy.

I think appreciation is a lost art these days. My husband has been on the same job for 12 years and he has literally never ever called in sick or called in to not work a shift in all those years and even in his reviews he has never once been acknowledged and thanked for that. And without exaggeration, they have people who call in all the time or they miss their shift & call the next day or they call after they’ve been late for 30 minutes or an hour and my husband was mandated to stay twice recently for two and a half hours after his shift and he gets off at 11:30 PM.

They have a new manager and he is a real jerk. One lady that my husband works with works the shift as he leaves so she comes in at 11:30 PM and gets off at 8:00 in the morning and her husband works next door in a different warehouse so he brings their baby to her in the morning and then she takes him to work and they needed her to stay and she said she couldn’t because her husband was there with the baby and she had to take them to work and she had the baby in the car right there already so they wrote her up for it. They gave her NO notice at all!

Wow Vicki, that's terrible. People so often quite jobs not because they don't like it, but because they have poor management and are underappreciated.

Very true! One of my grandsons has two jobs: In-N-Out and Red Robin. He is barely 20 years old and he has been working at In-N-Out for 3 years & Red Robin about 3-4 months. I was asking him which job he prefers and the one thing he said was that he likes them both but he prefers Red Robin because they show their appreciation for the work that he does but In-N-Out never does. Appreciation goes a long way!

Aww thanks Maddie! Luckily I can use my boyfriend's laptop so I can still post reviews and updates. :)

Sorry I've been so MIA guys. I have been super busy with baby stuff and house stuff. And I've been superrrr tired. I'm reading a nonfic baby book right now. I have The Toll borrowed and haven't even started it yet (how dare I, I know). I hope after this weekend I can kick it into high gear and get more reading done for us. I figured I'd be a little slower, and I only pledged like 4 books this month, so I'm not behind. Will catch up soon -_-

I am so frustrated, I really need to tell someone but I cant tell anyone in real life yet.
I was asked to be a volunteer for a Gameshop in town, for Pokemon tournaments. (Someone quit, they needed someone new). You get basically nothing for it and it's 2 or 3 days a month. I love the community so I said yes, the store thanked me and was excited but still wanted to meet me. Fine! And they cancelled on me less than 24 hours beforehand, ugh!

So I was judge during a tournament yesterday and got some weird vibes from a girl that has only joined our tournaments a month ago and mentioned it to my friend who was also judging.

Later that day that friend contacted to store and out of nowhere they want this other girl to become their new judge! (Quickly found out this girl and the owner of the store know each other from college). And they weren't just honest, but they made lies up about me. Telling my friend i 'grossly misbehaved' during a sale! (I have only been once to this shop so I exactly knew what sale she meant). They priced products really low and I got a lot of them, they clerk did not really like that for some reason! (They did not have a max. Product per customer or something). Also during that visit they claimed I took something behind the counter, I told them to check the tapes since I did no such thing. (And yeah, they turned out to be wrong. I didnt take anything). But now somehow this story got turned around into me grossly misbehaving. Right?

Also, I cancelled a few times due to being to tired when I participated in tournament. (I am chronically ill) People do this all the time, but I would have still came those nights if it was important. (They told me: no just stay home and rest!) And now they say I can't be trusted because i always cancel. (Few times in one year. Yeah....)

I already knew this shop wasn't a nice place, but now I know for sure. (My friends are now also quitting as volunteers btw)
