I beta read any genre, and I also beta read non- fiction about any subject. I read short stories, and short story collections as well. I beta read novels in verse, too, and any form of writing. I'll get back to you within about a week or as soon as you need it with my thoughts on your book. I charge $1 per 1,000 words If your book is very long, I can probably beta read it for less, especially if you have a budget. I point out things like inconsistencies, parts that are confusing or could be clearer in the story or in the writing, parts/sentences that could be phrased or written better, whether your story/parts of your story and and characters are convincing or realistic, if anything is repetitious or overdone, what I liked best, what I liked least, pacing and suspense, if I found anything boring, and anything else that will improve your book. Hey, Grace! I'm currently look for beta readers for two manuscripts that I've been working on. (you can choose 1 or both) I'm look for opinions about the overall vibe and theme of the book as well as some general critique from you.

To make it simple, both these manuscripts are connected but not connected. They are unrelated in the small picture, but the universe has other plans for these main characters. The themes of the manuscripts are similar (zodiac signs, acceptance, challenges) but also different (one has racism whereas one has neglect of native culture) as well. So, with there being 12 signs, there will be 12 different protagonists with different backgrounds, skin colours, body types and many more.

Savannah is a 20+ African American with an average build, a tendency to not let change taking her and a heritage she doesn't understand. Yannathan is a 30+ Aboriginal Australian with a climber's body, a need for a journey and feelings he doesn't understand.

the manuscripts both have elements of fantasy (superpowers) and there are some warnings (trauma, alcohol is mentioned, fighting, sex is mentioned) for both scripts. though some only apply for one of them.
