Emily, so in this instance when it takes the #6 slot, would it still be #5.5 or would it be #6 to act as a placeholder, seeing as there is a #7? I just want to make sure I know what to do in the future.

You're saying Goodreads will list CAPTAIN DREAMBOAT as #6 instead of #7 because its predecessor (MANCANDY CRUSH) was a novella? I mean....I guess you can do whatever you need to do. My Amazon series page shows DREAMBOAT (a novel) as #7, and it will be followed by another novella, SNOWBOUND SQUEEZE. That will come out in January and I'm sure Amazon will list it as #8. It will be followed several months later by the ninth book in the series (per Amazon series listing) which is DOCTOR HOT STUFF.
There may also be some confusion here because Goodreads has STUDMUFFIN SANTA listed as a prequel, whereas Amazon and other retailers don't recognize prequels. So maybe the numbering is always destined to be a little out of whack from one place to another?

The series listing on Goodreads is standardized and is different than what the listing might be on other sites like Amazon. I've changed it to match what Goodreads uses.
