The Whip by Catherine Cookson by Catherine Cookson

Book: The Whip
Series: Standalone

Rating: 4 stars
Review: Very enjoyable book. I needed a break from stupid and violent people in my reading and while I didn't completely get that, at least the writing and the story made up for it.

I liked this book cause it's funny but it isn't one of my fave. A lot happened in the story but a little between the MCs. Shortly, nothing special.

Review:
I was really surprised at some the things that happen in this one. The ending in this one, really makes me want to read the next one straightaway. I must try to fit it in to read in February.

I like Risa as a heroine. She's strong, but makes mistakes.

I didn't like the villian this book. I absolutely hate spiders, so I did skim those parts. I really don't want to read about them.

Review:
This is definitely not my favourite Tyler book. I can't say that I bought into the romance between Cage and Calla, it started from a phone call, but I didn't a really connection by the end of the book to truly believe. The book started good, but there was just too much going on.

Wow an amazing book this book gives you a brief summary of the re-immanged tale of Hades and Persephone. At fist i thought it would be a nice quick read with cute characters and plenty of laughter but it was so much more than that i really loved it and this was not my first time read this book and it wont be my last.

3.5 stars but it was really well written so I round up to 4. I liked this story, the MCs and the second characters too. But I'd have preferred to know something more about Davy too, maybe using an alternate POV and a little more about Kurt and Davy's story, we know how they met, how they screwed up their friendship and not so much about how they lived their love story.

Review: Oh Danielle Steel, why do I read you? Your stories are all the same and I hate the horribly weak women characters you write where you think that suffering equals strength. Yet I still read you. Why oh why?
