.
Instead of your moderators coming up with "themes" for the group to vote on ... we invite YOU to nominate a theme for next month. Could be a specific genre, a cover image, a title word, an author initial...

ONE nomination per member

To encourage participation from more members, the person who nominated LAST month's winning theme cannot nominate this month. So, ---- , you will *not* be able to submit a nomination (though you WILL be able to vote).

DEADLINE - 25Oct19 5p CDT, or 5 nominations (whichever comes first)

Once the nominations are closed, we'll set up a poll for membership to vote on the theme for next month.

NOMINATED THEMES:
* Nov 11, Veterans' Day - Read a book that features a war, or with a character who is, or has been, in the military (any country) - CAROL
* Nov 21, World Hello Day - Read a book set in a country other than your own or written by an author from a country other than your own - JARET
* Nov 20, Universal Children's Day - Read a book with the main character is a child (under age 16) - PATTY
* Food, Friends, Family - Read a book with a family or friend setting that involves food - SOUTHWESTZIPPY
* Black Friday - Read a book with a primarily BLACK cover - KOREN

Carol | 4335 comments November 11 is Veterans Day - read a book that features a war, or a character that is currently in, or has been, in the military. Doesn't need to be totally in the U.S.

Jaret | 209 comments November 21 is World Hello Day

Read a book set in a country other than your own or written by an author from a country other than your own.

Patty | 247 comments November 20th is Universal Children's Day. Read a book with the main character is a child.

SouthWestZippy | 295 comments November is a wonderful time of the year for remembering and the gathering of food, friends, and family while telling stories.

I would like to nominate a book with a family or friend setting that involves food.

Examples a cookout, around the table, picnic, or at a game while eating a hot dog.

Koren (koren56) | 756 comments In the U.S. we have Thanksgiving on a Thursday and the next day is called Black Friday, where people that dont have to work that day go shopping. I'm not sure why it is called that but I think it has something to do with the stores making money that day (being in the black). Sooo, my challenge is to read a book with a primarily black cover.
