too bad the komikon is on a weekday. But I'll do my best to catch up with the book discussion. My video coverage kaya ang mga talks?

Discussion for Dwellers is also on this day. Hope to see you there!

Ay readercon pala. Hehe.

I want to meet Eliza Victoria and Rin Chupeco! *fangirling*

Maria, I will stalk with you. Not yet acquainted with Rin Chupeco though

what is exciting with this year's Readercon? Well, aside from the fact that we will see each other, this is co-located with Komikon!
What to expect?
for a detailed look, here is a link to the program
Special note for the 2:30 timeslot of Nov. 14, the topic is: Nonrequired reading: Rise of the Book clubs. Our very own Tina is in the panel and will don her moderator hat and talk about TFG as a bookclub. What is awesome about this? Other bookclubs are included in the panel, meaning members will be listening, meaning a chance to mingle with them, therefore it is really a big bookish soiree!
The Filipino Reader's Choice Awards is also on the 14th! The winner is nominated and voted by us, the readers. So it would be cool to actually witness the awarding ceremony!
If you look closely into the program, you will see that our favorite Filipino authors are either panelists or facilitators (and duh, winners) so stalking/staring at them is not really creepy (I would be with you on this, I think I would be stalking maybe one or two authors during the day). And if you brought your book, we might get a chance to have it autographed! (totally fangirling right now! ayiiii)
Books! of course that is a dead giveaway
Oh yeah, speaking of giveaway, from last year's experience there is a raffle after the awarding, so yeah, FREE BOOKS! And if you feel unlucky in raffles and such, I'll tell you a secret, no one goes home empty handed!
Guess what, Trinoma is having a 3 day sale, so you might want to stay away from North Ave. But it is also payday weekend. So if you are like most of us, who sets aside a chunk of their salary for books or basically choose to eat books than food (view spoiler)[ actually, I like doing both, eating books and food (hide spoiler)] It is time to splurge on books. Readercon have booths from different publishing companies (also, it is Komikon so, yep, hoooray for more books)
And if you do not have anything to do on Saturday, join us as we discuss Dwellers by Eliza Victoria. We got the 4-5:15 PM timeslot.
So see you there!
