#1: Guess is the same case as Iain Banks and Iain M. Banks, an author that signed his works with two names, but close, for different reasons.

It happens the same with Mr. Stow (signing with R in works of 1982, 1984, 1994, 1998 and 2012, but signing with no R in works of 2001, 2006, 2007 (II) , but I ignore the reasons in Mr. Stow´s case. He uses no R. in some personal different accounts (FB, for instance).

Banks has both profiles. Should Mr. Stow keep both either? Turn for more experienced librarians to decide.

Iain Banks used two different versions of his name for two different genres, and kept the two quite distinct.

I see no evidence of that here. Merged into the more complete Kenneth R. Stow.
