-Now we begin Harry Potter Goes Camping.
-Splinching, already horrifying to me, is really really awful.
-So now Ron is afraid to use Voldemort's name. He's right though – it is a jinx.
-I don't have HBP with me but I thought you could do Side-Along Apparition with kids. If they're under 11, they wouldn't have a wand but Side-Along Apparition is recommended in the Ministry pamphlet in HBP. So Mrs. Cattermole not having a wand shouldn't matter.
-Harry's dark thoughts are amplified by the horcrux he's wearing.
-Voldemort is searching for the Elder wand, which Dumbledore had, which is buried with him at Hogwarts. Wandlore is explained later. Draco's wand is the master of the Elder wand because Draco Disarmed Dumbledore at the end of HBP.
-The thief is Grindewald.
Ch. 15
-Ron does not handle continuous hunger well at all.
-Once again, Harry is right but nobody will listen. There's a horcrux at Hogwarts.
-Nice to hear familiar voices, even if we barely know Ted. Yay for Dean.
-How does Hermione know that Phineas hangs right by the sword case? I can't recall Harry mentioning it and I don't think she's ever been in that office.
-See ya later, Ron. Hermione stays with Harry, like she promised she would. Again, Hermione is the best.
Ch. 16
-''Harry, did you ever open A History of Magic?'' Uh, nope.
-Harry's sadness over possibly having sibling really gets to me.
-Harry at his parents' grave = instant tears. And I'm not a crier.
Ch. 17
-I love the graffiti at Harry's house.
-Nagini coming out of Bathilda is straight up horror.
-RIP holly and phoenix feather wand.
Ch. 18
-I think Rowling has come out and said that Dumbledore was in love with Grindewald. I don't know if Grindelwald felt the same or not.
-I forget exactly how Ariana dies but I think her magic was too strong and she accidentally died because of it. I'm pretty sure she acidentally killed Kendra. She wasn't a Squib though.
-I totally understand Harry's anger in this chapter. There's so much Dumbledore could have told Harry while he was alive and just didn't.

And this book really made me hate Dumbledore, the more we learned about what he did (and didn't) share. We see that he was in fact human and made some really terrible decisions (especially regarding Harry/what to share).
Yeah. Bad enough putting so much on a 17 year old to kill Voldemort, but he really left him unprepared.
