Richard Penn (richardpenn) | 758 comments I just checked out the Amazon.com page for the paperback version of my second novel, Freedom at Feronia by Richard Penn and found it had a 'Amazon Editors' Favorite Books' sticker on it. Not sure how broadly such favours are distributed, but it's nice to see. I just reduced the price (to $3.99) to celebrate!

Kara Jorgensen (karajorgensen) | 97 comments I have the same thing on mine. It links back to their yearly picks page. All traditionally published books :/ it's on every paperback page apparently.

Richard Penn (richardpenn) | 758 comments Oh dear. And there's me thinking I was special!

Yeah, mine has it too. I know it's just an inept and somewhat vicious placement of an Amazon ad, but it might accidentally help sales. Its intention, of course, is to pull attention away from your book to their featured books.

Richard Penn (richardpenn) | 758 comments I thought it was a bit fishy. When I went to their featured book list for sci-fi, there were just twenty, and my book wasn't there. Ah well, we know they don't care about authors, don't we?

It makes me even happier that I left Amazon's KDP Select program and started selling through other outlets.
