When he was done he went into the bedroom and smiled. He stopped in the doorway just to look at the handsome man on the bed. He couldn't help the way his heart beat faster and his smile seemed unable to melt away. "Wow," he breathed, "I was a little worried sending you off in here would be too much to bare, but now I'm definitely glad I did it. This is the most perfect scene I have ever walked in on."

||Writing this with blurry eyes. I should be asleep. Sigh||

Karson chuckled, "Well it seems we have a common theme going between us then. Though, my favorite scene is much better than yours. Don't try to argue. I'm right this time and I know it for a fact." He walked closer to the bed, slipping out of his boxers as he did so. He wanted to feel Nathaniel's skin, all of it, and he didn't want clothing to be in the way. He didn't care if they had sex again or not, he just wanted him close and naked. So, he wiggled under the blankets and pull Nathaniel close. "Mmm, have I told you that you look incredibly handsome at this time of, morning?" He chuckled again when he realized what time it must be. "You always up this late, or early?"

He shuddered softly as he thought about it. "The bullet shattered my hip bone, which is why it looked like something exploded inside me. I had to have my hip partially replaced, like I said. I've only been able to walk again for about six months now...and the whole time I wished he had just killed me. It wasn't because of the pain, mind you, it was because I did love him and he used me, and now I have to find him, and kill him."

Nathaniel couldn't tell Karson the truth now, or ever. He had to keep that part of his life a secret until...death. Death seemed like the only solution because he knew if Karson found out, then he was going to be the person Karson was chasing to kill soon.
He forced himself to focus on Karson. He stroked the man's hair gently. "I'm sorry you were betrayed like that Karson. You let your heart open to someone and they completely ripped it out. that shouldn't have happened especially to someone as nice and as patient and as thoughtful as you," Nathaniel said softly, swallowing enough spit to wet a towel. "It must have been painful to go through all that alone." he said thoughtfully trying to figure out how to protect his own secret. "But he didn't kill you...maybe he truly loved you."

"Anyway, that's that. I've got the scar and a taste for revenge, but I'm not going to pine over him. He wasn't the man I fell for." He shrugged lightly and cuddled closer to Nathaniel. He stroked his fingers over the man's face and sighed softly. He nuzzled his nose against his neck. "Lets not talk about all my failed relationships anymore. Lets talk about yous."

He gulped and felt Karson's fingers on his face. For now, they could relax. Karson could continue to lie there, unaware of Nathaniel's truth and Nathaniel would continue on, pretending he was just a professor. It was going to be fine besides, he hadn't actually done anything wrong to Karson. He hadn't spied or extracted information from him...yet...and he wouldn't. Yes. That would be his vow. He wouldn't do it.
"Relationships?" he said bringing his attention back to the man. "My, I've had so many of those but I've only loved a few of the men and women I've dated." he said with a dismissive shrug. He wasn't really focussed.

Also, he had a feeling what was happening. Protocol required him to check in every night. He hadn’t checked in. He was late. They’d come to find out if he was alive. Or maybe it was just Karson’s people. You know, the people chasing him. Did it matter? All he knew is that he wasn’t wearing underwear. He moved to stand next to Karson. “How?”
"I don't know know," Karson replied in a whisper, "But we've got to try." He kept his gun in front of him and he started to move, hoping that Nathaniel would stay right behind him. There was only one way they were going to be able to get out of here, one way that he could guarantee that they both lived anyway. Of course, he knew it was a long shot. Likely they would be going out in a hail of gun fire, but until then, they were going to try and get around to the garage before it was too late.
He slipped from the room and looked, listened. They were in the living room. He could hear three voices but he was sure there would be more surrounding the house. He swallowed hard then peaked back at Nathaniel, then, he recognized a voice. His head snapped in it's direction. There was no doubt these men were here for him.

Karson's eyes changed from confused to hurt, but he didn't have much time to harp on it before he was shocked back to looking in front of him. He fired the first shot into the man before him just before the first bullet could be fired into him instead.
