Where is her family? Are they rich or have special powers?

I figured it out! It was "Facets of Faerie" by Zoe Parker. It is a 4 book series. The first book in the series is Elusion. Here is the goodreads link: https://www.goodreads.com/series/2140...
The books are a little slow but I really enjoyed the series.
The description of the book on goodreads does not at all explain what the book is about. I only found this back after spending about two hours going through my already read kindle books and literally opening them each up to read the first couple pages.
The two main characters, Iza and Phobe, are incredibly sympathetic anti-heroes. The book occurs in a prison in another realm and then on earth in the US. The first book in particular is dark, with rape and torture, but the messages of loyalty and courage and self-sacrifice and love make for a very impactful story. Its hard not to tell more about the plot without spoilers, but this book has faeries, elves, humans, vampires, creation myths, death, dragons, etc...... It is quite the ride.
I read this as an ebook, probably kindle unlimited, which is why I can't find back the title. It would have been published some time in the last couple of years (after 2014 probably). I can't remember if it was a series.

They manage to escape the prison and then are being hunted by those who had them imprisoned.
She turns out to have powers and that is why they are hunting them. I think they are hiding out on earth for a while.
