So another edition has to be added, even though the text does not change, just the cover? I'm not sure I understand why.
Because people want to be able to shelve the exact edition they have read, including the same cover.

re 122: I've combined the books. There are now separate listings for each, but the reviews, ratings, etc. are shared, though still assigned to each separate edition.I assume your new edition is retaining the same ASIN? When is the new cover coming out?

I am extremely confused now. You said the listings are separate, and reviews are shared, but the newest edition is not in my dashboard, and neither does it appear in searches. Is that what's supposed to happen? The newest cover is the permanent cover and will, most likely, not change. What should I do? This is such a mess.
re 124: Oops, sorry, can't say about the dashboard, as only the author themselves can see it, but I should have mentioned that, as the author, you can set the default edition of a work (the one that appears in searches-by-title and on your profile) by following the instructions here:https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/3...
And yes, that's supposed to happen, and only the default (usually most popular edition, unless set otherwise by the primary author or GR staff) shows up in searches. Except, when searching using an identifier (ISBN/ASIN/BNID etc.) in which case the associated edition comes up.
Is the ASIN remaining the same after all? The newest cover isn't on Amazon yet; is that meant to happen today?
Yes, the new cover should finish publishing on Amazon within the next few hours. Everything is the same, as far as the book goes, except for the cover.

No, I don´t own that particular edition, but I own the newest edition of it. The link goes to the title who was published by another publisher.

My new cover went live on Amazon. I would really like it if when the book was searched for on Goodreads, the new cover appeared, instead of the old.
