I've finished finally. I feel like the pacing of these books is WAY OFF. I'm not the biggest fans of these books, but feel like I need to give them 4 stars just for their merit. I hate Snape, Lockhart and Hermione for the first few books. There are so many niggly things that aren't explained. So much stuff happens for convenience. Snape's behaviour just honestly makes no sense towards Harry and I hate it. I also didn't really like the narrator for the audio, just very annoying the way he said Haaarrryyyyy every time, and Roooonnnnn.

I personally wonder why Dumbledore didn't help harry himself when he knew he was going to the chamber, Dumbeldore seems to know exactly what's happening around him yet he chooses to deal with them in a very weird way I would say.

I always wondered why Dumbledore doesn't call out Harry and his friends when they are breaking school rules. It seems he knows everything someone does or has a hint but he doesn't really use that against people which I guess is a good thing. (hide spoiler)]

you're right, he does this with almost everything, but things turn in his favour at the end he seems to get what he wants :D

I'm so excited to re-read this book! I haven't re-read these since I first read them almost 15 years ago! My kids got the illustrated editions, so I'm going to read those while listening to the audiobook! I'm so excited! :)

I just re-read the first book and I was very surprised how much I remembered from the book...I couldn't believe that over 15 years had passed considering how much I remembered.

Finished- (view spoiler)[ Since this was a re-read for me, I knew what was coming so the "magic" was a little gone for me, but I still LOVE these books. I remember the shock of finding out that Moaning Myrtle was the student killed 50 years ago. I also remember being impressed with Hermione figuring out it was a snake in the pipes and that's why only Harry could hear the voices! I just remember those light bulb moments the first time reading it and being blown away buy it! So glad Hagrid was released! Great ending and I love this world! (hide spoiler)] Bring on the next book :)
