Who did you initially suspect had murdered Clarence? Was Harvey on your list?

In the first part of the book, the most obvious suspect for me was Otto. I didn't think Mrs. Pritchard would strangle her husband using a scarf. I also didn't think Harvey would do that either.

Harvey was the obvious suspect to me, but I figured it was too obvious for the mystery unfolding.

I was really puzzled as Harvey seemed too easy a choice. I actually suspected Ilsa had a hand in it, maybe through Otto. Bruno was on my radar but I didn’t know enough about him at the time.

I didn’t think “Lou Lawson” had anything to do with it as his people wouldn’t have strangled him.

For the first part I really had no idea who to suspect because I was looking for someone with enough money and influence to bribe the chief of police, and that excluded Harvey.
