I am reading Just Too Good To Be True by E. Lynn Harris this book explains a relationship between a mother and a son. Brady Bledsoe who is the character in this book is a senior in college. His dream is to become a professional football player. He's meet Barret a supposedly cheerleader for his team. Barret is getting paid and also is the girlfriend of Nico Benson a sports agent who is trying to get revenge back on Brady and his mother Carmyn for turning him to the NCAA.
For our text code I used the exclamation point because Brady and everyone in the story thinks that Carmyn is just a perfect mom. Which she is but she's been lying to Brady and her friends about her past. Carmyn' has a pass that she's been trying to avoid.
she says
"It was breaking my heart not to be totally honest with my son. But how could I tell Brady I didn't know who his father was"?
