Christopher stopped as his mother swam in front of him. "your going back to her now" she demanded, "your getting married whether you like it or not"he just stood there in the water, snarling like a beast
She looked at with an angry face, "yes you will, you owe it to your kind to continue our race, it is your mission in life" she told him"im not doing it, i don't care if it's for the survival of the dragon race, im not doing it" he replied, "im especially not ending up in a love marriage like you and father before he died!" he shouted
at this outburst aqua snapped and charged him, smashing him into the rivers floor. "dont you dare think i didn't love him!" she said, "you'll just have to do as i did, learn to love and make it work out" she said
aqua eases up and let him go. he sighed heavily, "fine lets go back" he said and she let him go. they both flew up from the water and towards the hall
Christopher and his Aqua walk up to stand next to them, Chris struggling to hold a smile to try at least looking happy"ahem" the elder began. "now my fellow dragons of all, we have all gathered here to witness the joining in marriage to two of our youngest kin to help lead us into the next generation, there will be many other weddings from the other families but it does me honor to be able join our two strongest in their generation" he said aloud, letting everyone clap and be silent again. "now then the joining will be completed with the marriage ritual, you two must share your first kiss and you'll be set" he said with a nod
Christopher's eyes went wide for a few seconds as he took it all in
the elder nodded, "yes, it's how the joining is started" he answered her.
once the shock of it all was over Christopher didn't really care, a kiss to him in this situation wasn't the worse thing that could happen and it wasn't really a big deal to him. he sighed and turned to her, "come on then... lets get this over with" he said to her as he took a step forward
he nodded and put one arm around her hips, pressing her body against his, and put his hand on her cheek as he leaned in and kissed her on the lips. he decided he would at least try to make look and feel real, he held his lips to hers with eyes closed
he soon eased into, he didn't realize that the kiss had gone on far longer than he expected it to and it was nicer than he expected too. he finished off the kiss and slowly pulled away, catching his breath he smiled slightly as he looked at her
the elder smiled at them both and put a hand on each of their shoulder, "it does me great honor to say this joining is completed, you two are now married" he said aloud and the room erupted into cheers of joy and claping
Christopher was looking around the room to all the different family's clapping for them. he didn't realize he was still holding onto her hips after the kiss
he noticed and took them off of her and took hers off of his neck softly with a sigh, he looked to his mother and saw her smiling ear to ear then looked back to Melody, "so what at now?" he asked her, "now that we're married"
he nodded, "yeah, we might as well get this over with, any ideas for one? im sure you wouldn't want one under water" he said
he nodded to her, "okay, then you lead the way" he told her. this might not be so bad... I can at least try to enjoy it... the best i can he thought to himself
once she let go of his hand he jumped up into the air to shift forms too, following her into the sky as they flew over the mountains and finally got to their destination. he personally didn't know the mountain range area, he did notice a larger river running through the mountain and wondered if that'll be apart of their new home
he landed right next to her and looked around once more, "its nice, its actually really nice" he told her
"yeah, yes i would. I'd like that alot" he told her.
he watches the lake once they go through the cave system to see it, he smiled on the inside, "its beautiful" he whispered aloud but more to himself. he then jumped in and swam around, scouting out the lake for any secret underwater cave systems or hidey holes
Christopher continued swimming after he thoroughly searched out the lake for a few more hours, losing track of time soon after and forgetting his day before he came back up to float on the surface
he climbed out of the lake and changed into his human shape, noticing that the cave looked much more bigger in this form and so did the lake which made him glad. he decided to walk around the cave to see what it offered outside of the lake, after a bit of wondering he walked into the part of cave melody was in
Christopher shook his head with a slight smile and walked back down the cave halls, he figured she wouldn't make a bed for the both of them to sleep in, he wasn't sure if he would lay with her even if she did, plus he wasn't tired. he walked out of the top entrance of the mountain and walked to the edge and watched the mountains and sky around him
he looked at her over his shoulder surprised and in a bit of shock. "r-really?" he asked her, "i wasn't really expecting that" he told her((also he's in human form still, i don't know if she is or not))
he goes to follow her, shifting his form as he did so, wondering to himself how this little sleeping arrangement was going to go
he stopped as they walked into the room, he looked around it to serve the area. once he got a good long look he walked the rest of the way to the bed and laid down in it to see how it felt
he did like the feel of it, it reminded him of the warmth of the bottom most parts of the ocean floor. he looked up to her and nodded, "it's really nice" he said
he watched her as she left and after a few minutes he laid his head down in thought, why is she being so nice to me all of a sudden? it doesn't feel right he thought to himself. "well... at least it's quiet without all of her yelling" he said to himself quietly
he shrugged it off and decided he should at least get some sleep so he wouldn't be tired in the morning
he slept through the night comfortable and relaxed, a lot more relaxed than he expected he would be
Christopher continued his sleeping, he wasn't much of an early bird or morning person. he rolled over a few times still asleep
he was slowly brought out of his sleep by the smell of the food. he got up and stretched before he followed the smell
he walked into the part of the cave where the food was, being in human form he only had on his pants and yawning. "is that fish?" he asked
"they smell pretty good" he said, yawning and rubbing his eyes. "wait why are you cooking fish? i thought only water dragons liked them" he said
"that's not good" he said after he realized what she meant by it. "eat something you like, not something i like because that ass of a father of yours made you like fish" he told her. he then picked up a fish and started eating it
he nodded and finished eating up his fish, he shrugged, "alright, suit yourself" he said.
after he finished eating his part of the meal, he got up and started walking away, "I'll be in the pond" he said back to her, the words echoing through the cave
he got a bit lost in the cave systems for a but, he hasn't gotten use to them yet, when he finally got to it he sat at the waters edge with his feet in the water as he thought about his new life
after about 30 minutes of thinking he slowly slid into the lake, letting himself float on the surface top with his eyes closed. he already took his clothes off before getting in so they wouldn't get ruined by the water
he continued to float around, he felt the water moving when she got in and since he was connected to the water he could tell where she was. however it didn't stop him from comfortably falling asleep, he really wasn't a morning person
after she left it started to become noon and he finally started to feel more awake and alive. he drifted through the water till he got to the edge again and got out, putting on his clothes, he then started to walk through the cave, getting lost in the process
Once he entered the place he looked around then to her, "umm... hello" he replied, not sure where he even was in the entirety of the mountain. "where am i?" he asked
he paused for a few moments before opening his mouth again, "oh, hmm this cave is really really big. bigger than i thought" he said crossing his arms with a nod
"treasure room?" he suggested, the idea popped into his head, being a dragon he has a huge urge to horde huge mountain piles of gold and treasure. "this room would be perfect for that and with it being so far from the entrance no humans can steal it easily" he said
he looked over to her, "well since you were the one to find this little spot it's yours. you can use it for whatever you like" he told her
he turned and called to her, "no it's not" he said, he thought to himself and figured he would just hide his treasure in the hole he found at the bottom of the lake
"i don't get the final choice, if where going to at least make this little marriage thing work out we both have equal standing in what's what" he said, "I'm not your father and im not your ruler so stop acting like that, it's weird and it's not you." he said "also you found the room and get to claim it as yours, i already know where I'll be keeping my treasure so turning that cavern into one would be a waste anyways"
"y-young" he said caught completely off guard, his face turned a bit red. "y-your already thinking of that stuff?" he asked her, "you do know what we'll have to do to make that happen right?"
"y-yeah your right about that" he admitted. he then got a look at her face and noticed how red it was and started laughing like a madman
"your face" he said still laughing, "its kind of cute, and here i thought you were loudmouth that only liked to fight" he said. "who knew you could actually have a cute side" he laughed more
he watched and laughed a bit more as she left, "and there she go's" he said to himself. "now what to do with the rest of my day?" he asked himself rubbing his chin
he makes his way through the cave again, getting lost in the process but luckily saw a part of it he remembered and went to it. he soon emerged from the exit on top of the mountain to get some fresh air and sit under the warmth of the sun. he found a large boulder with a flat top and laid down on it in the sun
"and I'll go get him" Aqua sighed and quickly followed him, shifting and diving in after him, being an older and more powerful dragon she caught up to him in no time
