Dave Williams | 6 comments I have seen many Bookstagram accounts, and they always have tons of followers. I am struggling to get my Bookstagram more attention, and it isn't uncommon for me to lose followers. My point is would anybody like to check it out? Although I do use it to promote my book that has little attention, I also post other things such as what I'm eating, quotes about books/reading, and animals. If so, my Bookstagram is author_davewilliams. I am not trying to sound like a self-promoter, but with my account being around for a while, trying to get my book more attention, and my account growing slowly, I just feel this is a good option to try. Thank you.

Caitlin Ball (httpwwwcaitlinballorg) | 9 comments Following. ^.^ I dropped a bunch of my social media accounts but my sister made me keep instagram. I mostly only post pictures of books, and follow my favorite bookstores.

Don't worry about the followers though. My husband works in computers and a few years ago he told me that most the time people with thousands of followers only actually have about thirty, and the rest are bots. I didn't believe him until the whole twitter thing happened and they began clearing bots from the system. There were people who thought they had thousands of followers and they dropped down to double digits. I almost fell into this trap too. There are companies who guarantee people followers for a fee. But the truth is the "followers" they provided are just bots, which raises their ranks in search results but doesn't guarantee real people are following them. Personally, I'd prefer thirty real people to a million bots any day. I hope this helps reassure you and I look forward to seeing your posts. ^.^

I just dropped FB and deleted my website. Neither were doing any good, at all. I'm going to set up an Instagram account for my books and the baby blankets I crochet. Hopefully, this will be a good move. Any tips you can give me would be so appreciated.
