R4: SS How to Play, Discussion, & Help
NP! Again sorry for the delay I always try to answer things ASAP. Either my notifications are wonky or it's the fever and meds.....
For sure!!! I thought my heart was gonna explode a time or two lol. The Lions were a formidable opponent.
It'll happen this week for sure. In the meantime y'all can just go on as if you weren't short a player.
Jenne- as of this week Crazy8s lost 2 playersNan
Kimberly
Shelby
Are left and I can step in as captain
I saw that, thanks for taking over the captain spot. I've put up a need players in the sign ups here. I don't think it's being seen though. I'm going to send out a message to the group in the am.

nooooo *crying*
We roll on Fridays, we shoot to be done by Thursday so your team can roll as soon as possible on Friday. There is a grace period on Friday if needed.
There's no problem doing so! If you read several books a week, try the speedy version SSS when it opens back up next round. It's 2 books a week and is a lot of fun!
Lol there's a link on the team threads in post 2 or 3. I'm not sure if Paris has updated today, I know I haven't. I'll follow up on all of it in the am.
Ok spreadsheet is updated with everyone's rolls from yesterday. There's a link in post 2 of each team's thread to the spreadsheet. At the minimum we have another two weeks for sure.
This has probably been asked and answered but I didn't see it. If you are going to use an alternate title L for example is it ok if there is a The first. Like a book titled The Listener would work for title L?
Jenne wrote: "Yes :) The a and are always excluded."
Jenne ... should the exclusion be the leading article - i.e. The, A, An ?
That's the convention used in most games ... and when alphabetizing titles as well.
Ok each team has a spoiler tag under #100 on the alternate list post. Those are the alternates that were randomly selected to coordinate with the winning spots. Teams HAVE to roll past 100 to win. You can use the # of the spot or the alternate for the given spot just like we have throughout the game. In the event of multiple teams rolling past 100 the first team with all of their reviews in first would be the winner. There's no way we could have a winner this week though.
QUESTION re # 101-112Can we use a standalone for any of these since they all start with the #1?
If we're on 112 - can we use series 11 or series 12?
Yes any 1 or 0 can be standalone and any 1 a first in a series. In order to keep it simple I'm gonna say no for an 11 on spot 111 etc.

Okay ... so what series # will be allowed for:
110
111
112
DG, I'm thinking end of Feb-early March. We'll probably have a winner either next roll or the following one.
Jenne wrote: "DG, I'm thinking end of Feb-early March. Really promoted team work and getting to know your fellow teammates.
Lol BC, I think I'll do a round of that over the summer time. It's almost impossible for me to keep up with SS & SSS at the same time with the kiddos out of school. WWGF is a bit more manageable since it's only one game vs two.
Jenne - For Crazy 8's I ended up as captain when Amy dropped out. I will be away this week and won't be able to report our reviews and Roll. I posted on my team thread and asked if someone could do it and have had no response.
Jenne wrote: "If no one can would you like for me to?"What a wonderful offer and show of good sportsmanship!
Jenne - I sent Camilla a PM and asked her if she could do it. I told her to let you know and if she can't , thanks for your offer and I accept if the rest of the team posts their reviews.
Ok I know it's very unorthodox lol. I don't know what else to do if everyone isn't comfortable rolling.
