Ronel van Tonder (ronelvantonder) | 9 comments Hark, Goodreads Librarians :)

I've noticed that my book, in both the url and shortcut links throughout Goodreads, comes up as "compile". It's missing the ":Quest".

I think it might be an issue with the colon, if so, how do I resolve this?

Melaslithos | 1356 comments I have no idea what is causing this. But I think it's more a case for the GR Feedback group.

Banjomike | 5530 comments Goodreads doesn't need the book title in the URL or links. Only the book number is required

Matt (mias_beck) I believe anything after a colon in a book's title is automatically considered a subtitle: See here https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/2...
There's probably nothing you can do about it.
I suppose the URL isn't important as long as it links to the correct book.
BUT: On some occasion the text of the link is only the title (that is without subtitle). For example the text right here in this discussion is "This topic is about Compile" and not "This topic is about Compile:Quest".

Ronel van Tonder (ronelvantonder) | 9 comments Thank you! As long as I can be sure it won't be a problem later on, then it's fine.

Thanks for everyone's quick response.
