Tyler Gohl | 6 comments Chapter 4 was mostly still going over Malcolm's early life, but I was wondering if you guys liked how Laura and Malcolm connected, they were both trying to chase their dreams but had hard times trying to get there. However, when Malcolm dumps Laura for Sophia, you kind of see a connection to life right now, how people are players and will do anything to get attention. Also in chapter 6 you see a connection with the drug trades that happen today when people try to sneak under the radar to get drugs to the people who want them the most. I also really liked how at the end of Chapter 5, Malcolm X included how everyone had a tough time living when the stock market crashed in 1929.

Overall, I thought these chapters went in depth with how his life was and how it was so hard for the colored people to get by in times of hardship. But how did you guys like these chapters?

I really liked ur recap Tyler. I find it really interesting that such a influential person had a bad childhood. He sold and smoked weed and hung out with prostitutes. I wonder if any of us would be her friend?
