Celeste | 8 comments Does anyone have even an inkling as to when Shadowfever is supposed to be released?? I'm trying my best to NOT read Deamfever until it comes out. But it is literally burning a hole in my bookshelf!

But every time I go to read it, I remember my anguish of finishing Faefever and realizing how long I had to wait for Dreamfever to come out! So... I am trying my very hardest to wait. Then, I'm going to have a Fever-athon and re-read them all through! :)

Brandy *Ahviel* (ahviel) | 57 comments Celeste,
I think it comes out next spring/summer. I believe.

message 3: by Celeste (new)

Celeste | 8 comments So long! Don't these author's know they're torturing us! ;)

Thanks for the info Brandy!

read it anyway!

Brandy *Ahviel* (ahviel) | 57 comments I am with Laurie you should read it anyway becuase then you have a whole year to stew about it

message 6: by Celeste (new)

Celeste | 8 comments I want to so badly!! It really is soooo hard to resist! It's inevitable, I'm going to break down and read it!!

message 7: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Orlich Ahern (kittymeowxcore) | 68 comments Even though cliffhangers really suck, it does really build up the excitement for the next installment. I can't wait for Shadowfever. But waiting until August?? Ugh.

message 8: by Laura (new)

Laura (highlandhussy) | 130 comments Mod
it's not as bad a cliffhanger as last year's with faefever, but it's just as unsatisfying...

message 9: by Celeste (new)

Celeste | 8 comments Faefever's cliffhanger was had me literally screaming in frustration! I'm glad to know this one's cliffhanger isn't quite as bad! Ok, you've pretty much convinced me, I'm going to read it. Ahh!

message 10: by Shannon (new)

Shannon | 8 comments I think this cliffhanger was pretty bad. bc if its what i think it is..... o nooo.

but you have to read it Celeste!

message 11: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Orlich Ahern (kittymeowxcore) | 68 comments Yea, for me, this cliffhanger is worse. It's just so exciting because we know that in one short year we'll have the answer to all of our questions!

What will we blog about then?!

message 12: by Celeste (new)

Celeste | 8 comments Oh no! Worse? What happens?? No, don't tell me. hahaha. Now you've peaked my interest!

message 13: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Orlich Ahern (kittymeowxcore) | 68 comments read read read!

message 14: by Brandy *Ahviel* (new)

Brandy *Ahviel* (ahviel) | 57 comments yea the cliffhangers are the worse. especially this last book there are so many loose ends

message 15: by Shannon (new)

Shannon | 8 comments worse! lol. But in my opinion the best book yet!!

we can still blog about it because we'll all be rereading them and finding stuff we didn't see before!!

I hope Dani gets her own series also. I would love to see her grow up. She is going to be amazing.

message 16: by Brandy *Ahviel* (new)

Brandy *Ahviel* (ahviel) | 57 comments yeah that would be neat if dani did get her own series, there is so much more to tell. but for me it would all depend on how the last book ends.

message 17: by Laura (new)

Laura (highlandhussy) | 130 comments Mod
I agree with Brandy; it all depends on how Shadowfever ends.

message 18: by Celeste (new)

Celeste | 8 comments OK! So, I read it... and I have ONE question...

WHO THE HECK DID SHE KILL??? LOL.

message 19: by Celeste (new)

Celeste | 8 comments I agree, Shannon, best book yet!

message 20: by Laura (new)

Laura (highlandhussy) | 130 comments Mod
My best bet is Barrons, but if we know KMM he's not dead, or it's not him. That other discussion topic we've got going on has tons of theories and some really good ideas (Barrons being Unseelie King, or son of UK and his concubine, of it being Christian she killed, etc..)

message 21: by Brandy *Ahviel* (new)

Brandy *Ahviel* (ahviel) | 57 comments Celeste,
we are all trying to figure that one out... which is so nerve racking

message 22: by Narnies (new)

Narnies When the heck is your spring/summer??? I'm way over the other side of the world and my spring is just starting and about to morph into a full-on summer, there's no way I'm going to let myself get excited yet... Well that's not true, but there's no way I'll let myself get THAT excited yet...

message 23: by Natasha (new)

Natasha (tashaj) | 4 comments Dreamfever was my favorite so far. I love them all though. Dreamfever so ended on a cliffhanger and I'm dying to know what happens next!! AH, I cannot wait for Shadowfever. It's worth it to read it now!!

message 24: by Ann (new)

Ann | 3 comments I don't think the person at the end of the novel is Barron. That's impossible!! I don't think Karen Marie Moning would end the novel with the death of Mac's lover and constant savior. It wouldn't seem right.

Plus, I don't think that Barron is Unseelie. He is far more complicated than an unseelie.

message 25: by Brandy *Ahviel* (new)

Brandy *Ahviel* (ahviel) | 57 comments okay so I got it. Barrons is part of the gergard. On dark highlande they talk about voice. It makes sense

Lara (elbe) | 7 comments BrandyS wrote: "okay so I got it. Barrons is part of the gergard. On dark highlande they talk about voice. It makes sense"

Haven't read Dark Highlander yet. What's the Gergard?

message 27: by Brandy *Ahviel* (new)

Brandy *Ahviel* (ahviel) | 57 comments I might have spelled it wrong. The gergard. They were a secret sec that wanted the evil druids to come back into the world and take over

message 28: by Narnies (new)

Narnies But Barrons isnt evil. He's a macdaddy.

message 29: by Brandy *Ahviel* (new)

Brandy *Ahviel* (ahviel) | 57 comments no he is not evil, but there is something dark about him

message 30: by Nita (new)

Nita (gillnit) Hi! Karen Marie Moning posted one of Barrons' tattoos on her blog. Here is the link:
http://karenmariemoning.blogspot.com/...

I have been analyzing it to see if it can tell me more about Barrons, but I am really bad at that stuff. ;D

message 31: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Orlich Ahern (kittymeowxcore) | 68 comments I like the tattoo. I wonder though....is the infinity sign in the middle relate to actual infinity, like he's immortal and will live forever, or does it have something to do with "see, serve..."

message 33: by Brandy *Ahviel* (new)

Brandy *Ahviel* (ahviel) | 57 comments yes thanks..... I knew I was spelling it wrong :)

message 34: by Caramelle (new)

Caramelle | 1 comments Concerning the release date:
This was the latest info given through her newsletter:
"SHADOWFEVER RELEASE DATE: I don’t know the release date for Shadowfever yet but I anticipate late summer/early fall 2010.  I’m hard at work on it and loving it! It feels so good to be writing the final installment in Mac’s story. I’ve waited four years to get here and I can’t wait to share it with you!  I’ll keep you posted about release dates as soon as I know something concrete."

As for theories on whom Mac has killed and how the finale will be...i try not to read about it since i get WAY to engrossed in it up to the point where i go insane! :) ....but once in a while i do take a peak at what other theories are...some are actually quite good.

message 35: by Lara (new)

Lara (elbe) | 7 comments A whole year! That stinks.

Anyway....I started reading the series for the 2nd time, trying to pick up on clues and I had a question I was hoping somebody would be able to answer. Maybe I should know this, but I don't and its been driving me crazy!

Zoey keeps talking about guys being "Lefties" or "Righties" - she said Barrons was 'so a Rightie' and he replied with 'Touche'. What the HECK does leftie and rightie mean. Its driving me mad - lol! Somebody PLEASE enlighten me.

message 36: by Marissa (new)

Marissa (marissagarrison) | 20 comments I know! I was so bummed when I figured another year for SF after finishing dreamfever in August... I just did a re-read again of all the books, and probably will re-read. again... ahhhhh!!!

RIGHTIES and LEFTIES: Barons says something like, "what is in question, whether I can see fae, or whether I'm a man", cause you know I can see fae, and well, I can prove I'm a man.... then he reaches for his belt... mac says "You're a Lefty, I know you're man.... etc"... Barrons: "Touche Ms. Lane".... (this was all paraphrasing of course)
My take on this - well, she's obviously stared at his groin, and could clearly see there was something there, and that it was hanging to the left.... thus a "Lefty"... I think Barrons says "Touche" cause he realizes she's been checking out his groin, and has no doubt he's a man....

message 37: by Marissa (new)

Marissa (marissagarrison) | 20 comments from KMM's blogs, release will be late summer/early fall 2010, and she also said she's not giving up any hints or sneak peeks into SF just yet.... I'm hoping she'll give a little snippet as a christmas present to her fans...

message 38: by Brandy *Ahviel* (new)

Brandy *Ahviel* (ahviel) | 57 comments that would be a nice christmas gift

message 39: by Narnies (new)

Narnies the whole book would be a nice xmas gift!

Swear to god im not going to sleep the night before this comes out!

message 40: by Marissa (new)

Marissa (marissagarrison) | 20 comments I know! me either... I cannot wait!

message 41: by Dorsi (new)

Dorsi (kismet1228) Celeste, I can't believe people are saying Dreamfever is not as big of cliffhanger as Faefever. I think it's so much worse! I think it's the biggest cliffhanger ever! It is KILLING me waiting for Shadowfever! It's pure torture!

message 42: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Orlich Ahern (kittymeowxcore) | 68 comments Dorsi wrote: "Celeste, I can't believe people are saying Dreamfever is not as big of cliffhanger as Faefever. I think it's so much worse! I think it's the biggest cliffhanger ever! It is KILLING me waiting for S..."

Agreed, 100%. At least with Faefever, I had a feeling where it was going.

message 43: by Narnies (new)

Narnies Dreamfever's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse, at least with Faefever you didn't quite love the characters as much, and now it's like OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD!!!!!

I cannot wait,I cannot wait,I cannot wait,I cannot wait,I cannot wait,I cannot wait,I cannot wait,I cannot wait,I cannot wait,I cannot wait...

message 44: by Brandy *Ahviel* (new)

Brandy *Ahviel* (ahviel) | 57 comments I am with you all. Here you with this book you saw mac and barron have full throttle sex. in the prior book you knew something big was going to happen but the big relationship and love was just building. well now that it is built. we are dying here. this is WAY worse. I want to know who died.
we knew some kind of freaky was happening before

message 45: by Shannon (new)

Shannon | 9 comments So I liked this book a tons it was by far my favorite in the series thus far but it was also the most upsetting. I was so frustrated with Mac and Barron's going back to the way they were before...he really does care about her you could tell when he was trying to help her get better (for lack of a better way of putting it). He gave her a Christmas tree for crying out loud. He danced naked with her. I think that she is the key for unlocking his heart, (and I know that is so cliched and romantic), I think that he has locked it away from whatever it was that the boy in the desert was. She is the only person who can help him, and it probably isn't even the book that he needs, just her. Of course I am a romantic so that is my romanticized take on things. Just started reading the series about a week ago when I friend gave them to me. So I have not had time to adjust and rethink these theories.

Sheryl Whipple | 1 comments I am in love with this series and can't wait for Shadowfever. I don't have time to set and read a book so I listen to them and Im so glad that Phil Gigante help read Dreamfever. His voice has made me even more in love with Barrons. Natalie Ross also did a great job. I hope that they both Read Shadowfever. (Thanks to Phil Gigante Im also in love with all the highlanders.)

message 49: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Orlich Ahern (kittymeowxcore) | 68 comments ::listening to the Spell of the Highlander audiobook::

I just heard something intersting.

Remember at the very beginning of the book, the Professor is killed? When Jessie was talking to Mark on the phone, he mentioned that right before the Professor died, he had sold property that he owned in Georgia.

Just the fact that he was mixed up with dark hallows and had property in Georgia makes me suspicious. Do you think this has ANYTHING to do with that fact that Mac was happily drumming along to her one hit wonders in Georgia?

message 50: by Narnies (new)

Narnies oooooooooooooooo scandalous! I'm going to have to do some rereading i think!
