Where'd You Go, Bernadette question

I've been adding my "to-read" books and "read" books to Goodreads for a number of years now, but I only occasionally give my books another distinguishing tag... I only have a few to choose from: For Work, Re-Reading, Young Adult, Banned Books, and Gave-Up On.
I've gotten to a point where I'd like to make my books more easy for friends to search through, so I'm thinking I need to add tags to my books. What are common tags you all use? Also, is there a quick way to do this--or will I just have to manually go through and select each book to add the tags?
