ABANDONED. What is the name of a book I read?

It’s been a while, but the book I read was a post-apocalyptic, zombie survival type book. It starts out with a mother taking her kids and some other kids(niece or nephew, maybe friends-I can’t remember). So while they are there, the zombie apocalypse breaks out. I vaguely remember them running from the military at some point and ending up in a cave or old mine with a large group of kids whose parents have all died.
Also, I’m pretty sure I read this book on Goodreads, if that helps. I appreciate any help in finding this book!
