SOLVED. Romance, vampire saves girl in an alley from men. [s]

So I read this book at least six months ago (but it was published earlier). All I remember is the beginning where a vampire saves a girl in an alley after she was beaten and (maybe) tapes while he was out hunting an enemy. I also remember he was a very old vampire and had a loyal group following .

Oops that’s a typo, I meant rape. I don’t exactly remember if it happened or was a close call. Although I’m pretty sure it did, it was super graphic.

Maybe Some Girls Bite. But there isn't any rape - a rogue vampire attacked her. But he only got a sip before she is saved by the master vampire of Cadogan House.

I’ll check midnight breeds to be sure but I don’t think this one was it. It might have been a series but if it was, the main characters stayed the same throughout the books, but thank you.
