Yes, I think those books have definitely prepared more for this type of reading experience. I see some similarities, but I know there is another story and meaning that will come into place. I like how he has the alternating plot lines, as in Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. The author has a way of bringing a reader in to a character's world.

I'm starting to see these parallel lines between the two main stories get closer and closer.
