This short story really triggers your mind and gets you to think in a different perspective. This story is brings up the issues of poverty and its hardship. Men and women were fighting to survive and make something of themselves within the story, but are pushed to the side while others rise to the top.

Throughout the story I am able to picture everything in precise ways and somewhat relate and fully understand what Frohock is trying to demonstrate to her readers. No one truly can feel what these individuals in the story that Frohock created feel but she makes it possible for us to feel something. Frohock gives her audience the power to relate to the emotional concept of the story!
