Jamie Schulz (thejamieschulz) | 1 comments I am exploring new professional developmental editors for the next book my Angel Eyes series. If you have strong experience with this type of editing and enjoy lengthy, serial romance stories, please let me know about your services.
The series is a cross-genre cowboy dystopian romance. There is some foul language and violence in the story as well as some triggers (so if you're sensitive to those, this isn't for you--ask me if you're not sure or want more details), but it is primarily a romance. It is not erotica or BDSM. Think a reverse version of A Handmaid's Tale crossed with an adult version of The Hunger Games (without the games) with cowboys. See my website for the synopsis of the full-length prequel (Jake's Redemption) and the next book in the series Masters' Mistress https://jamieschulzauthor.com/.
I look forward to your reply.
Thanks!

P.N. Elrod (pnelrod) | 90 comments Hello!

I visited your website and sampled the books you did for Penguin (Ace SF was my first publisher). I think our styles might be compatible.

I have extensive experience in developmental editing, along with the nuts and bolts of proofing, line editing, etc. Both are my jam, but I am particularly good at development and problem solving. It's just flat out fun to discuss possibilities and directions, what I call "story storming."

While I no longer maintain a website, my "resume" bibliography may be found on my Wikipedia page.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P._N._E...

What it does not list are the many authors I've worked with for my anthologies, including Charlaine Harris, Jim Butcher, Rachel Caine, Ilona Andrews, Simon R. Green, Carrie Vaughn, Carole Nelson Douglas, and Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, among others.

I bring to the table the same level of care to your work as I gave to them. This is 29 years of working as both writer and editor for Ace, St. Martin's Griffin, Baen Books, and others.

My contact mail is mystikmerchantrobes@gmail.com

Cheers,

P.N. Elrod
