The book is 20+ years old. The heroine is overweight in the beginning, she begins exercising and dieting. The hero owns resort chain, I think. There is also mentioned the cocktail Green Goddess in the book.

How does the couple meet? Love/hate at first sight?

Kris,Mostly romance with suspense. I think her sister was model and took pills.
The hero had just bought their mountain property/home and the heroine thought that her sister killed herself because their home was bought(Spoiler alert - it was because of a failed relationship with married(?) man, also the hero was the one that has to inform the heroine about this fact after investigating her death End Spoiler). I think the sister was younger.
If I remember correctly, she already hated the hero when they actually met for the first time, after she had already devised the plan for revenge. He had no idea who she was when they met.
I think part of the action was in Vermont - the heroine went skiing after taking beginner skiing lessons and the hero had to help her when she went to a more advanced snow track.
I remember the heroine was intent on revenge and she had worked meticulously over her plan for 2 years - loosing weight, changing her appearance, planning to ruin the hero financially.
If I remember the subplot of the heroine's cousin - he was in New York and met a heiress while some dogs were barking and snarling around her and he literally swept her off her feet to save her from possible harm. Her father tried to end their relationship.
The cousin name was something like Adrian, I remember it because there was reference of the Hadrian's wall.
Spoiler Alert - there was a criminal element with the heiress' possible previous boyfriend who was furious that he is not wealthy anymore and he is only in the high society because of his history and pity, he decided to kidnap her for a ransom, if I remember it correctly - the criminal met a female acquaintance in a bar and he said to the barman : "Green Goddess cocktail for this Green Goddess" because of the woman's dress.
