The Best Revenge
- okay story - nothing great
Raw Head and Bloody Bones
- Ooh eerie. I liked how the shop owner said he had no helpers...and that’ll teach them to try and have the best horror house

- Oh No! A dark factory!! Nothing good can come from this!!! Thugs and money...

The Unknown Patriot (Ch 7)
- Parker the unpopular vs. Grace the popular on a field trip to Williamsburg - and Parker gets transported back in time

So far I’d give this book a 3 star rating. It’s good but it’s not great, and I don’t love it. We’ll see if the rest of the stories improve…

I think one of my favorite stories in this group was The I Scream Truck. In this story, a girl who usually has to eat tofu ice cream is allowed to eat the real thing while visiting relatives. But the ice cream truck is strange. For one thing, it's called the I Scream Truck which is weird enough. But the guy manning it is strange too. The kids ending up eating a LOT of ice cream over the course of their stay, and when they come back to the truck for one last stop, they are almost butchered by the local townspeople. They manage to escape but on their way out of town the young girl sees a sign that says the Cannibal Carnival Capital of the world! Scary tale about gluttony.

I really enjoyed this collection of short horror stories geared toward a young adult audience. I think it is perfect for the tween/early teen crowd and may even give the some goose bumps and nightmares along the way. If you have a young adult that likes horror then I recommend this book for you.
