I am finally getting to start on this one and am really looking forward to it. Reading the synopsis made me think of The Breach by Patrick Lee. I gave that one 5 stars so I have high hopes!

I actually finished this about a week or so ago, but am on vacation and didn't have time to post. Not quite like The Breach but very good. Here is my review:
I don't want to say too much about this book and give anything away. Part of the enjoyment of this book is trying to figure out what "The Fold" is and does. Helping lead us through this adventure is Mike. Mike is a genius with an IQ of 180+ and a photographic memory, whose lifelong friend comes to him for assistance in gathering info on a secret government project. Other than his extreme intelligence and memory, Mike lives a rather ordinary life as a high school teacher. He is intrigued by his friends offer and has no idea what he is getting himself into when he accepts. I love Mike's brain and I love how the author explains the intricate workings of it, as Mike, along with some fun secondary characters, discovers more and more about "The fold". This is science fiction thriller at its best and kept me on the edge of my seat to the very end. At first I wasn't sure where the "thriller" part was coming from, but then BAM, it hits you over the head and doesn't let up until the very end. This book does end with a "to be continued" scenario, so I am desperately hoping that there will be a continuation book.
Mike was such an interesting character and I would love to continue reading about his adventures. It has been a while since this book was written and no continuation yet. I sure hope one is on its way!
