Okay, so a couple of weeks ago, there was a Christmas party that my friend Rachel brought me to. She and one of my other "best friends", Madison, go to this church thing called Life Group or something like that. Rachel really wanted me to come. Anyway, Maddie has this crazy, stupid, pathetic dream of being popular, and since we started middle school, she's become so stupid and dependent and cares WAY too much what other people think about her. Anyway, there are two middle schools, North and South. We (maddie, rachel, liz, and i) go to North. Well, Maddie is supposed to be one of my best friends, so naturally I'm going to want to spend time with her since we have absolutely 0 classes together because I'm in all honors classes, and she's... well, not. So she was hanging out with this other girl who was from South, and who apparently was kind of popular. And, you know, naturally, I was excited and just kind of happy, I guess, and apparently, I EMBARRASSED HER. Hello? I'm supposed to be her best friend, and mind you, she didn't even tell me this. She told Liz, who wasn't supposed to tell me, but Liz, being a TRUE best friend who won't talk crap about me behind my back and will tell me if someone is, did, only I can't even tell Madison WHY I'm mad at her and don't want to be her "best friend" anymore. She can go find a new best friend, someone who meets her social standards and who won't embarrass her. It just seems to me and Liz that ever since we got to MS, we haven't been enough for her. And now she's talking crap about me behind my back. We've been "best friends" since the fourth grade! And now, in seventh, apparently, we're not good enough for her!?

Thank you! She's so turning into one! And she only cared because APPARENTLY the stupid popular girl (I think her name was Kendall *snorts* figures. Typical popular person's name.... no offense to anyone.* was looking at me like I was a freak, as if I give a crap! But apparently, MADDIE does. And since everything is always about MADDIE because MADDIE is SO much more important than everyone else, what SHE thinks is always right! You know, we (Maddie, Liz, and me) were supposed to do a skit together for the talent show, you know that? And all of sudden, because PEOPLE start saying that's it's LAME, she backs out! A skit only works with three or more people and the deadline to turn in forms was last Thursday! And it was HER idea to do the stupid skit, and guess who was supposed to write it because who's the "nerd" in the group!? ME! Just because "people" think I'm "smart". "People" can bite me. Present company excluded, of course.

*sigh* Thanks. Sorry I just put you guys through all that. It's just..... she doesn't even know I'm mad at her and I can't even tell her why because then I'd get Liz in trouble, though Liz kind of feels the same way I do, but still. I don't want to get Liz in trouble. I mean, at least she told me that I had someone talking bad about me behind my back. She didn't have to do that. Normally she tries to stay out of this sort of thing because she doesn't want to get stuck in the middle of two friends, you know, and she pointed this out to me, but I'm glad she told me, you know? Okay, that's it. I don't know her and I already hate her. I think you should ditch her. It doesn't matter if she was a good friend once. Now she's just a bitch (pardon my French) and you shouldn't have anything to do with her. She doesn't deserve your friendship.

Jessica, it is fine. Vent all you want. I hate it when my friends are hurt or get hurt, and if they need to talk I am always there. I totally understand Liz, I'm like her, I try to stay away from this kind of thing. But kudos to her for telling you. I mean if she never did tell you, what would of happened between you and Maddie? At least you know. Anyways, Liz seems like a good friend and people do change. Maddie probably is just going through a phase, hopefully she'll be back to her old self in a few months that or she might change and start hanging out with the 'popular' kids. At least you still have Liz, just let everything play out. And good luck Jess, I'm hoping that everything works out for the best.
