I read this book quite some time ago. My mother is a huge fan of vampires, and this is one of her favourite series. We watched the movie all the time growing up, which is why I decided to try the book. It was a little slow for me, but still interesting enough to keep me turning pages.

I've just picked it up, and the writing is very 'catchy'; I didn't mean to carry on reading so long as I should have been cooking! It's looking promising, especially at this time of the year when things are getting colder and darker and the idea of vampires more appealing (?)
I decided not to reread the book. I have read almost all the Rice Vampire books. It is a well written series. But I have limited time right now. So I think I will just watch the movie. A young Brad Pitt sounds yummy. I think this was a very badly cast movie but Pitt is still a cutie
I will maybe give it a try, I own one of Anne Rice book The Witching hour, so this would give me an idea about her writing style and so on.
I'm joining in. I loved the movie at the time (but I guess Brad Pitt being such a cutie could have a lot to do with that) and I've had the Anne Rice vampire books on my radar for ages but never got around to it, so I guess there's no time like the present, right?
YES Kim, Brad Pitt('s face) couldn't do anything wrong in the role...ahhh...Glad to hear you'll be joining!
Just started the audiobook! I’ve never read this before although I have seen the movie a long time ago. I honestly don’t remember much of the movie (besides Brad Pitts’ face lol), so I’m basically going into this book blind. Excited to get through this one!
I started the audiobook today and am enjoying it. Listening to the story like this kind of gives me the impression of being in the room with them hearing the story as it's being recorded.
