All Iowa Reads

The 2015 All Iowa Reads book was announced last week. It is My Name is Mary Sutter. It is a historical fiction. "Mary Sutter is a brilliant, headstrong midwife from Albany, New York, who dreams of becoming a surgeon. Determined to overcome the prejudices against women in medicine— and eager to run away from her recent heartbreak—Mary leaves home and travels to Washington, D.C. to help tend the legions of Civil War wounded". The library will be purchasing some copies for the Book Club shelf. Has anyone read it?

It has gotten very good reviews, so I will definitely have to read it. I think if you click on the picture of the book above it will let you add it to "Want to read"

I haven't read it either, but 3.78 stars on GoodReads sounds promising. Sounds interesting.
