Dale Renton (dalerenton) | 15 comments Even better news on DART by Dale Renton DART from Publishers Weekly's The BookLife Prize. 👍

DART has been selected as one of the five semi-finalists in the SF/Fantasy/Horror category, to be judged over the next four weeks by award winning Science Fiction and Fantasy author, Tim Pratt.

One in five chance now of winning the SF/Fantasy/Horror category and progressing to the final round of The BookLife Prize, 2019.

Will find out on November 1st.

Dale Renton (dalerenton) | 15 comments DART by Dale Renton is currently being promoted on BookSirens - and as part of the promotion they have provided me with a link that can be used to obtain a free electronic copy!

If you are interested in a free (epub, mobi or PDF) copy of DART then you are welcome to use the following URL:

https://booksirens.com/book/TDCWNPA/6...

Note: BookSirens will ask (but certainly not oblige) you to post a (Goodreads or Amazon) review in return for the freebie; a small price to pay for a free copy of the book that ALMOST made the final of this year's BookLife Prize! ;)

L.A. Starks (lastarks) | 63 comments Dale, my book, The Second Law, made the 2019 quarter-finals of the BookLife Prize for Mystery/Thrillers ! While it didn't progress past that level, I know how exciting it was for your book to make semis. Congratulations! LAS

Thank-you LAS - and congratulations too on becoming a quarter-finalist this year. It's a tough competition with quality entries in all categories. Good luck with your book and series - and best wishes for a happy Festive Season.

Dale Renton (dalerenton) | 15 comments DART by Dale Renton Very pleased today when I found DART has been selected as a finalist in The Wishing Shelf Book Awards 2019 contest.

The Wishing Shelf Book Awards contest is based in the UK - where I would really like to raise the profile of DART - so this is good news! DART has been named as a finalist in the Adult Fiction category. Winners will be announced in April.

Now I need to find an Aussie contest - nearly all DART sales to date are from the US. Maybe this is what happens when you decide to write in colorful US English?!?

Hopefully this time DART can go one better than its semi-finalist (SF/Fantasy/Horror category) placing in Publishers Weekly's The BookLife Prize 2019.

In other news, the new cover for DART is nearing completion. I engaged an artist who has done covers for such brilliant writers as Roger Zelazny and Edgar Rice Burroughs - and I'm pretty pleased with where the cover is headed!

You can have a sneak peak of the cover designs "in flight" on my website at:

https://dalerenton.com/2020/02/13/new...

There's news on the same page of an upcoming competition to win a signed, paperback copy of DART (with a dedication of your choice). The competition will kick off shortly after the new cover edition is released (soon!).

description

If YOU would like to win a paperback copy of DART – complete with a dedication of your choice and mailed to your nominated address – try the contest I’m running to celebrate the all new cover art by Gary McCluskey (garymccluskey.carbonmade.com).

By correctly identifying some literary, musical and TV references quoted from the novel, you will be in with a chance of winning one of FOUR paperback copies of DART which I will sign and mail to each winner.

Entry is FREE and does not require you to make a purchase.

Good Luck!
