DART makes BookLife Prize Quarter Finals (update!) and has made the finals of The Wishing Shelf Book Awards!

Great news from Publishers Weekly's The BookLife Prize -

has progressed to the quarter finals!

This means DART was selected by the Publishers Weekly and BookLife Prize critics as one of the ten best novels in SF/Fantasy/Horror from the hundreds entered.

DART has been selected as one of the five semi-finalists in the SF/Fantasy/Horror category, to be judged over the next four weeks by award winning Science Fiction and Fantasy author, Tim Pratt.

One in five chance now of winning the SF/Fantasy/Horror category and progressing to the final round of The BookLife Prize, 2019.

Very pleased today when I found DART has been selected as a finalist in The Wishing Shelf Book Awards 2019 contest.

The Wishing Shelf Book Awards contest is based in the UK - where I would really like to raise the profile of DART - so this is good news! DART has been named as a finalist in the Adult Fiction category. Winners will be announced in April.

Now I need to find an Aussie contest - nearly all DART sales to date are from the US. Maybe this is what happens when you decide to write in colorful US English?!?

Hopefully this time DART can go one better than its semi-finalist (SF/Fantasy/Horror category) placing in Publishers Weekly's The BookLife Prize 2019.

In other news, the new cover for DART is nearing completion. I engaged an artist who has done covers for such brilliant writers as Roger Zelazny and Edgar Rice Burroughs - and I'm pretty pleased with where the cover is headed!

I'm very pleased to say that the new cover for DART is now available on digitial and print platforms world wide. It was created by US artist Gary McCluskey, who has a wonderful portfolio of covers which you can check out at:

Details in the image such as the pillars used as borders and the 'moon' visible behind the title all tie back beautifully to Dart's story.

I'm currently waiting for the first proof copy of the paperback to arrive. Details of the competition to win one of these will be out soon after.
