When I go to post in this group and select the book from the drop down in "This topic is about" it just shows the title and author. It doesn't really give the edition to select from. I'll just post the Goodreads link to the page with the edition I want edited from now on. Unless there's some other way I should be doing it?

Nope, that's definitely a good way to do things in future. The drop-down is not always helpful, as most of the posts in this group are edition-specific, while the drop-down box is not (I think). Thanks!
