I'm not speaking on behalf of everyone in the mod team, but if you're asking about the 5 reviews until it's considered a completed round so you can submit your next book, then I'd say yes.

If you're talking about 5 reviews to be considered fully approved for our master list of BetterReads fully approved books... then I'm not sure.

Also, technically according to Goodreads recommendations (somewhere) a 2 star review = OK. (vs Amazon where that's more of a 3.) But there are all sorts of different interpretations people have of star ratings in all settings.

For what it's worth, it's clear that KP really didn't like the book; she used words like 'boring' and 'won't be reading the sequel.' I'm resigned to the notion that the audience appeal for my books is pretty narrow: space exploration enthusiasts, not general readers looking for an adventure story. I shall understand if it doesn't make the list, but I'd appreciate being able to put the sequel through the process if that becomes possible.

my cousin a hardcore sci fi nut enjoyed your book richard. tho i do read sci fi, because i disliked the dark colony it dont mean its the end of the world. not everyone will enjoy the books we create. hell i've had my share of readers going wut over my books as well. you will have folks who like hate or go meh over your creations. thats just the nature of art
