I have no previous lists with anyone named Leo on it for this or the earlier series. I accepted that happened off screen for Wira but it wasn’t the motivation for the others. I understood his bitterness about his brother but those are the consequences when you trade in terrorism.
I just don’t have any ability to understand how you can justify taking innocent lives for a cause. History keeps proving these tactics never work but they just keep doing it.

The cause was the general hatred towards American interference. Wira had the side issue, which he didn’t share with the others.
I get why Wira had a grudge against the American government and this terrorist group gave him a way to take action. Not so sure about Ali. He just seemed to want to destroy Americans because that is the trendy thing for a young middle eastern man to do.
I was going to ask also if I missed something. I didn't remember anything about a Leo character. I was really surprised that it was Indonesian terrorists. I never thought about terrorists from that country. I think I could understand Wira's grudge against the American government and wanting to find his brother. But the rest of them just wanting to kill people I will never understand.
I’m with you, Karen. What have we done to Indonesia??? And shame on Ali. He was Egyptian. Nothing in his background could be so awful to justify this carnage.
