Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ (mckennamuse) | 4205 comments Since Walt became Sheriff or total in the series? Because I'm thinking there was an old skeleton or two and five murders seems a little low. I can remember one name, but that's about it. The rest are "the one who..."

Let me see what I can come up with.

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ (mckennamuse) | 4205 comments RE: The Trivia Question!

I came up with six, maybe seven, in the first two books, three in Bk. 1 and four in Bk. 2. Feel free to correct me because I'm really not 100% sure I caught all the victims.

Book 1:

Book 2:

Karrie...not sure if these are before Book 2, Chapter 9, or after. They are definitely in Book 2, but I don't want to ruin it for anyone. Don't click on the spoiler until you're finished with Death Without Company!

Ah! I know the one you're missing and it's from Book 1. (view spoiler)

Try closing the spoiler tag before you hit "reply" and see if that fixes it. I think that will keep the spoiler from showing up in your response. I think we've all done it! No worries...you can always go back and edit your posts if you're concerned. : )

The reference was made in chapter 9 of book 2 so he wouldn't count.

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ (mckennamuse) | 4205 comments I'm still working on The Dark Horse (Walt Longmire, #5) by Craig Johnson (I'm about halfway through, just getting to the "big event" at "The AR." I had to stop and read another challenge book. Yes, it was painful to put down.

I love how this one is setting up. As usual, I have no clue as to the guilty party. About Henry & Walt: (view spoiler)

I'm finished with The Dark Horse (Walt Longmire, #5) by Craig Johnson and it was another fantastic book. I gave this one five stars. It read like an old western and I did NOT see the whodunnit coming!

Mary & Laura, let me know when you're ready to start Junkyard Dogs (Walt Longmire, #6) by Craig Johnson . My schedule has opened up a bit.

I have Junkyard Dogs (Walt Longmire, #6) by Craig Johnson from the library so I can start this week.

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ (mckennamuse) | 4205 comments I can start Junkyard Dogs tomorrow. I promised myself I'd finish The Highlander's Touch today. I don't know why it feels so slow, but I'm waiting for something to happen other than inner monologues of "He/she is hot and I want to, but I can't." It really isn't that bad, so maybe I'm in an impatient reading mood?

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ (mckennamuse) | 4205 comments Laura,

I could wait a couple days to start the next book if you want to join Michelle and I. Not sure when her library book is due, but I'm buying the series as I read. It's a keeper! : )

My next BR doesn't start until Feb. 8th and I think I'm going to leave it that way so I can clean up older challenges. Let me know what works for you and I'll be here.

I love this series too! I just looked and I 'm still number 2 in queue at the library. It may be a while, I wouldn't want to hold anyone back.

I think you'll really enjoy it. This book should come with a humor warning. I've laughed so hard in some places that my eyes are watering.

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ (mckennamuse) | 4205 comments Finished Junkyard Dogs (Walt Longmire, #6) by Craig Johnson

Whew! This was good! I'm having a fit trying to pick my favorite in the series. It seems like each one gets better and better. This wrapped up so neatly, while still keeping me surprised. I had the wrong person pegged...again. LOL!

(view spoiler)

As I said in my review, it amazes me how the author comes up with fresh new ideas for his stories. There's no obvious "formula" writing going on. He drops his characters into brand new territory with each book, yet keeps them true to their nature. Love this series!

You're in for a treat! This is one of his best...IMHO.

The first chapter has to be my all time favorite in the history of books. I kept getting these visuals...

I laughed until my stomach ached.
