Carmela chose to pull back from Sawyer to protect her own feelings. Could you identify with her feelings, understand what she was trying to do? Did it have the effect of drawing him closer? Was that unintentional on her part?

I totally get why she pulled back. She could only take the rejection so much. I don’t think that was a strategy on her part but he took notice and got jealous.

Agree with you completely, Laura. She’d shown her hand and he’d rejected it. It was nice getting his point of view and knowing differently but she couldn’t know. And I don’t think she was playing games...it was purely a protection move.

She was devastated. Her cutting ties was pure self preservation. She had no idea why he was sending such mixed signals to her and she was all in trying to make him want her as much as she wanted him. She was just trying to get a feel for where their interactions were going.

I didn't think it was intentional at all. She was devastated by his rejection and couldn't go back to just being friends.
