Threadbear tells the story of a bear whose squeaker does not work despite all of his owner, Ben’s family and friends trying, so the other toys suggest he finds father Christmas as he knows all about toys. Threadbear has an encounter with father Christmas but wakes up in the garden-the children could discuss what happened here, perhaps the encounter was a dream, or if he did bump his head and fall off the North pole. After Ben's mum washes Thread bear in the washing machine he comes out with his squeaker working!
This is a nice book to read with much relatable content for a child including various toys and the emotions thread bear would have gone through. You could discuss how Thread bear might be feeling at different points in the story.
Overall it is a lovely book to read with children to enjoy Threadbear’s journey of getting his squeaker working.
