Jamie | 12275 comments You are doing awesome! You are definitely our star reader this month and I am so happy to have you with us!!

I still have 3 more busy days then I get to join in the second half of a manga readathon. So I'll be whipping though some books quickly for a day, then should get back into more novels. Still chipping away at my audiobook (its over 20 hours long!-which is frustrating because its considered "illustrated" ...stupid tiny doodle at the beginning of each chapter... so only 1/3 points). Got a couple BRs to catch up on! Started Frost Like Night but since I won't get very far yet, I haven't added to the SS. But I will in the next few days.

In two weeks is Dewey's 24 hour readathon where I also hope to get some good reading in.

Jamie | 12275 comments Oh, I got a couple books that might help us with the i's in my manga stack for Monday.

Jamie | 12275 comments I think we might need to sacrifice the "the, the" words to so use singular T's. The 2 point lose vs a tagline. We are struggling on those other Ts. What do others think? Maybe starting after this weekend? So if we do get some in we don't have to but if we don't we catch up the taglines?

Mummy's Naughty Corner (mummysnaughtycorner) | 6951 comments Cool. Yeah I'm starting to pick out books for a few letters we have.

Mummy's Naughty Corner (mummysnaughtycorner) | 6951 comments I already am when I have extra letters so I can still get full points I can do it for other the's too. I think we will have a few books coming soon where we can't get full points but hay getting a single letter or two to get the bonus of the board out ways the 4 or 6 points for letters.

Abby | 5404 comments I swear I'm reading. I've just got a work book and a home book, so it's not as quick finishing one.

That's okay Abby plenty of time. We are doing well just need to maintain it.

Adriana | 3733 comments Finally finished A Crack in the Line. On to My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix . I have to read at least two books this weekend to keep up with a YA class I have. Work is driving me nuts.

Great! I marked the one as finished and is ready for you to post. And got you 5 spots for your current read. Let me know if you are confused about how I used your books to post the review. :) Some are based on the 2 letters in a row rule.

message 212: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12275 comments I won't be posting reviews until Tuesday but I will be reading a bunch (I hope) of manga for a manga readathon. Then Tuesday I'll review them.

That's great Jamie. I hope you enjoy. I think we have another board finish then it's just waiting on one or two letters to complete others. The other team are actually doing well but they weren't sorting out their letters right but I think they have clocked on now so we need to keep an eye out if they get a sudden boost in points it's because they have finished some boards.

Mummy's Naughty Corner (mummysnaughtycorner) | 6951 comments Midnight Rose (The Midnight Series, #1) by Dani Hart

I can only find 4 letters R AN H can anyone else see the fifth letter?

I don't see that book on the spreadsheet so I'm unsure. Can you use RT (Hart) for Trust?

message 217: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments I need help placing The Da Vinci Code. There is an edition with an I if we need it, but I can't find other spots.

No. They aren't in that order next to each other.

I only see 4 R, an, & H too.

B, V, and The :) Added you in.

message 220: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12275 comments If possible everyone, we need to have words that start (easiest) or at least ave I, T, E, & U as letters. These are our weakest letters.

message 221: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12275 comments Also, to flip taglines, we can really use some finished books posted soon. Maria, Ritika you've both been marked as finished for quite a while. Any chance we can get some posted please? So we can hold our position. Alright I am off to get some sleep, then back to my readathon. I added my next set of Tail of the moon up. It helps some struggling letters. Again, I will be posting my reviews for all the manga Monday, once the mangathon is over. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

message 222: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12275 comments @Abby actually I am changing it. Used:
Il codice da Vinci (Hardcover)

Jamie | 12275 comments @Izzy, I get being busy for certain seasons. I am a retail manager so I get how certain months you have hardly any downtime. But if doing a challenge like this on Medium/serious it is still a good idea to stop by, even if just once a week to peruse the the chat for anything important and update your reading. At least when you can't find all letters. And also to learn and work with the teams needs. Some people are just more quiet for various reasons and as long as you can find spots for all 5 letters that isn't bad. But if you are tight on time, just letting us know and figure out the SS might be easier for you too and appreciated by us.

Also, I know on my busier months I might ask someone to simply message me anything important, especially if I am on a very chatty team and I won't be able to keep up. If that is needed for you this month, just let me know. Both I and Mummy are on regularly so I am sure one of us could PM you if you prefer and is needed. :)

Mummy's Naughty Corner (mummysnaughtycorner) | 6951 comments I don't mind Pming to help keep you in the Loop Izzy.

I have a few E's coming and N's. I'm struggling for U but I do have two books with truth in one is up on the ss already hopefully I'll get to it this week.

Mummy's Naughty Corner (mummysnaughtycorner) | 6951 comments All the books that i need to read this month are up on the ss. Once I have these out of the way I will pick most of my books on the letters we need. When i do this do you want me to concentrate on the letters we need or still try to get maximum points?

I'd say a mix. Like if you can get at least 3 letters, but can finish a tagline or letters we are struggling with, go for it. But if it only gets you 1-2 letters, maybe something else if possible.

We also need to remember we can use other language editions. It doesn't have to match the one we red nor match the pages. SO popular books be sure to check that if it interests you :)

Will do just wondered as I've found one or two books with E or I but can only find like 4 letters. Or I have books with THE but as it's only the T we need might not list the other two letters if it completes a tag.

message 230: by Jamie (last edited Oct 14, 2019 01:38PM) (new)

Jamie | 12275 comments I'd work on the ones you have up first and then we can go from there too. Or maybe have a couple options either way if you want to plan ahead. Like a few books for max pts and a few books for struggling letters. And when you catch up on your other books, we can see how badly on letters we are struggling. :)

Ritika Chhabra (justagirlhighonbooks) | 530 comments Hello everyone, I am finally free. So I will be reviewing For One More Day today. I still have to finish reading Kafka on The Shore. It's kind of hard to get into since it's so boring. But other than that, I have also been reading Eleven Minutes by Paulo Coelho and have less than 100 pages to finish. Do let me know where do you think I should put it because I might finish it by tomorrow and then review it by the day after. :)

for Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman

Out (out) and US (trust)
