Rosalie Oaks (rosalieoaks) I'm writing a series set in Regency England, in Devon, with a few paranormal elements. The genre is historical urban fantasy, with a lady jewel diviner, a miniature spinster vampire, and a few selkies in the mix, but I need a reader who is also a lover of the Regency genre.

So if that is you, please get in touch! Especially if you are familiar with Georgette Heyer or Gail Carriger (whom I know is Steampunk, but she is probably the closest thing to my genre of lighthearted paranormal comedy of manners).

Here is the blurb for Book 1:
Devon, England, 1805… A miniature spinster vampire crashes into Elinor’s drawing room, demanding to be fed with a sheep. Elinor has enough troubles without having to catch ruminants. First, she is in proud exile from London society, after her secret gift for divining jewels landed her in scandal. Second, there is a cache of smuggled jewels hidden somewhere along the coast. Third, and worse, she has a tempting invitation to cream tea at the local Manor, which could prove the most… fraught. The Earl of Beresford, irascible but magnificent, might be there, and after what happened in London he is the last person Elinor wants to meet over a cream scone.

Of course, the call of cream tea is too tempting, and as for the diamond hunt, well, her special talent should make that easy. Especially now she has a tiny vampire to help her, even if said vampire has a habit of appearing stark naked at a moment’s notice. But soon a dead body is found along the cliffs, and Elinor finds herself embroiled in a dangerous search, involving a spy, a selkie, and a cat called Samuel.

Where are the jewels hidden? Who killed the smuggler? Why is the Earl in Devon? And more importantly, when is the cream tea being served?
