Killing Pablo: The Inside Story of the Manhunt to Bring Down the Most Powerful Criminal in HistoryJust started reading this after watching 'Narcos' on Netflix.
Picked up Strauss' "Natural Right and History" and picked up where I left off. Trying to figure out why I sopped reading it.
I have just finished Storm Front and Time's Fury . I enjoyed them both. Now I have to decide which book to pick up next. More than likely, the next book in the Dresden files.
FinishedThomas Cromwell: The Untold Story of Henry VIII's Most Faithful Servant and now on the first Bryant and May 1940s crime tale by Christopher Fowler, Full Dark House:
I just finished reading The Wooden Sea by Carroll and totally enjoyed it. I'm currently readingDance Dance Dance by Murakami for my 1st read in 2016. It is my first Murakami novel. Been looking forward to it.
Just finished Boyd's elegant 'Blue Afternoon'... I had read it before but enjoyed it maybe twice as much. My own books are not in that league but sell well... maybe my new year res will be to up my style... worry that my readers won't appreciate it, though... there's nothing like a romantic thriller complete with happy ending set it Provence or Tuscany for my fans. Anyway, I thank you all and wish you a happy new year of reading. "Words are the heart of love."
Please leave a review if you do read my books... all to be found on good old Amazon

I am currently reading "The Eye of Minds" by James Dashner. Just started reading it and have enjoyed it so far.
Reading a ARC by Ian Buruma called Their Promised Land. Presented in a memoir type style, this is the story of his Grandparents based on their letters to one another through both the first and second World Wars. Both Jewish Londoners, we see these wars through different eyes. And we see their relationship, the love and support and devotion, as well. An excellent read.
Finished
Cuba: What Everyone Needs to Know
last month, but didn't get around to reviewing it until now.It isn't a popular history, nor is it an entirely scholarly work. That in-betweenness may or may not work for you, depending on what you're looking for. Will you be smarter at the end than you were at the beginning? Sure. Will you be able to read it on the beach at Varadero? Probably not. Three mojitos.
I have finished the next two books in the Dresden Files. I will probably read "Juliet's Lullaby" by Ash Night next, while awaiting more Dresden.

Her protagonist Nettie Lonesome isn't Harry, but she is really good at what she does.... First of the series is Wake of Vultures.
Just finished the book Mortal Showdown. Full review at read that also
Set in Ukraine, this James bond meets Godfather kind of novel tells the tale of Mikhail Vorotavich , and contains politics and sex and espionage and violence and all what is required of an out and out thriller. Krasno puts more focus on unraveling the plot and let his characters set the atmosphere through their actions rather than go into tedious descriptions. This has made entire book crisp and give it a to the point feel.

First of the series is Wake of Vultures. Bonnye, I have not read her yet. I will look her up and possibly add her to my growing list of to-read books. Thank you for the suggestion! Dresden has been a joy to read. I have been blessed to read such incredible books the last year or so.
Read a couple of Kindle books, Frugal Minimalism: Declutter and Simplify
and Kindle Marketing Ninja Guide - Killer Marketing Strategies for Kindle Book Marketing Success
I'm currently reading Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer (about a decade after it was first published :) . I thought the first two books in the series were great, but I've only just begun this one.
Currently reading "The invasion of the Tearling" and "Eve." The first is very good and im having a hard time putting it down. The second is a slower read and im having a hard time finishing it. The plot isnt bad its just not my normal read.
Pam wrote: "Read a couple of Kindle books, Frugal Minimalism: Declutter and Simplify
and [book:Kindle Marketing Ninja Guide - Kill..."I NEED to read both of them. Spent weeks trying to de-clutter and got rid of two fairly small boxes of nicknacks to the second hand shop. I need to sort as I dust all this stuff!
Bonnye Reed wrote: "Pam wrote: "Read a couple of Kindle books, Frugal Minimalism: Declutter and Simplify ... I need to read both of them..."In my review, I commented that it is mainly about living frugally and being less materialistic. It isn't really a guide to decluttering.
The one I read years ago and found helpful was Secret Of How To Win Freedom From Clutter
Just read Voice of Our Shadow by Jonathan Carroll and posted a review. Also forgot to say, I posted reviews for all four books in the James Blish 'After Such Knowledge' omnibus edition.
Doctor Mirabilis
Black Easter
The Day After Judgement
A Case of Conscience
Finished Land of Laughs. And have now read and reviewed Ben-Harran's Castle by Louise Lawrence

If you like words that paint pictures, you'll really like this one. :-)
I just began reading The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen :) very interesting plot, and I'm still warming up to the characters :)

Finished The Water Room
, book 2 in the Bryant and May quirky detective series, and now reading book 3, Seventy-Seven Clocks:
I finnished Library of Souls a few days ago.I'm currently reading 1984 on my Kindle, listening to Strings on my PC, and still listening to The Witch With No Name on audio CD on the stereo in the bedroom (hence that one taking me so long; I listen to it only before bed).
I just started The Silent Sea, by Patricia Rosemoor. So far it's got my interest. I write romantic suspense, and this book is quite suspenseful itself. No romance yet, but I'm sure it will :)
I've just posted my review of the Cthulhu mythos themed anthology The Book of Cthulhu. There's quite a few story reprints here so might not offer as much for the experienced reader in the genre, but if you're just discovering the joys of Cthulhu then it's worth checking out:

I've finnished listening to both Strings and The Witch With No Name; both were fantastic reads!I'm still reading 1984 on my Kindle though; hopefully will finnish it tonight or tomorrow.
