Finished reading The Caretaker, an excellent short story.Finished listening to Broken Grace.
Now reading Why the Universe Is the Way It Is, and listening to Timebound.
I just finished reading DARK LIGHT: DAWN by Jon Land. Now I am reading THE READY MADE THIEF by Augustus Rose.
Donna
Yesterday, I finished reading The Next Always by Nora Roberts. It's my first novel from her and I'm contemplating whether I should continue the series or switch to something else. I'm on the hunt for the next book to read.
I just finished Do Not Say We Have Nothing by Madeleine Thien. It is about two families whose lives intersect during Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution in China, leading up to and including the massacre in Tiananmen Square in 1989. It was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 2016. The novel was epic in scope and very powerful.

I just finished The Woman in Cabin 10. Very well written and lots of twists and turns until the end. I read an average of 4 books at a time but now all 4 are kindle versions. Jimmy Stewart biography, Gwendy's Button Box, Best of SciFi (don't remember which vol at this time), and Silent Alarm. All books are very good so I give them equal time. Probably finish Gwendy's Button Box first.
I am currently reading untold story a novel. next I'm going to read Diana her true story in her own words. I favor memoirs and true stories but, I like Nicholas sparks books.

. Really love the urban fantasies written by this author"Thank you for the information on this book and author Angela. I am going to check them out.
I am currently reading Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld Series. I purchased all of the books in this series at one time. So far, so good. She is an exceptional story teller. Paranormal, along with fantasy, historical-fiction and non-fiction, and just about any type of romance are my favorite genres but I have been known to read anything.

No worries, Mary. Even though it states paranormal romance on the spine, it reads more UF (to me). This is book 2 in the current series, with book 3 coming out soon.
Another series I love is the Kate Daniels series written by Ilona Andrews. Patricia Briggs has 2 great series as well, the Mercy Thompson series and the Alpha and Omega series.

Thank you for this information also! I am always looking for authors that I haven't any knowledge of.
I just finished Beyond by Maureen Miller. Do not recommend. I reviewed it here on Goodreads and you're welcome to read my review to find out why I gave it only two stars.

I finished White Teeth by Zadie Smith yesterday. I loved it! I thought it was hilarious and laughed out loud many times. I loved the narrator's voice, her wit and sense of humor. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in a multicultural novel. My review on goodreads

Nearly finished with 'Killers Wake', a salty sailor's tale written by Bernard Cornwell. If you enjoy ocean adventures, Cornwell is a master of weaving stories on and around the sea. As a man of the sea myself, I can truly appreciate his stories.Killer's Wake: Killer's Wake
Just finished both books from 'Gates of Thread and Stone'. Right now its only the two, but it is a trilogy and I'll be eagerly awaiting the next book. Gates of Thread and Stone,The Infinite They are light and refreshing without being too angsty.

Just finished reading 2000 Tunes, by Karl Drinkwater which I loved (and have reviewed). Currently reading The Woman Behind the Waterfall, by Leonora Meriel which is a little off beat (narrators so far include a star and a bird!) but I'm warming to it.
Trying to read more self-published authors now I'm one myself!
Finished An Unnecessary Woman
by Rabih Alameddine. An incredible portrait of a seventy-two-year-old Lebanese woman told in the form of her monologue. I recommend it highly and gave it 5 stars. My review on goodreads

The complete works of Robert Louis Stevenson. I'm starting to talk in a Scottish dialect. Sounds really odd for a southern boy. :O
I read Things We Lost in the Fire by Mariana Enríquez. It's a collection of short stories set in Argentina. I recommend it but only if you enjoy stories that are bizarre, macabre, and blur the lines between what's real and what's unreal, what's sane and what's totally insane. My review on goodreads
