I just finished The Will of the Many it was such a fun read

I just finished 'For the Good Times' by David Keenan.
The story of three young IRA members with a bizarre love for the songs of Perry Como.
Gritty, at times barbaric, interspersed with hallucinations and humour.
I liked the fast-paced, first-person narrative. I began by enjoying the comic-book superhero interludes; they made for a welcome break from the violence, but by the end, I tired of them.
Certainly worth a read and I can see why it won so many plaudits back in 2019- However, I can't help but feel this was partially due to the subject matter, so far beyond the experience of a largely middle-class readership.
