Well, Sylvia, It begins in a university's beerhall and then upon graduation, moves to a n escape to 'a Cork lined room in Montmartre and from there to Chu Lai as a soldier and then as a disabled Veteran to Beirut to engage in Humanitarian assistance....and then the roller coaster of subsequent drama and trauma begins



Just started Starve Acre by Andrew Michael Hurley

"A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" is the one I am struggling to finish, but it is so boring that I need to read the other two books to divert the lows I feel as Betty Smith's novel drags on.
Finished reading William Kent Krueger's novel "The River We Remember."
