Keith Oxenrider (mitakeet) | 1171 comments I suggest you start to write. Great writing comes from rewriting, something impossible until the first draft is done. Most who start writing never finish, most who finish never survive the rewriting process and then there's the gauntlet of trying to get people to read what you've invested so much blood, sweat and tears. And this doesn't even touch trying to actually get paid for all your hard work.

No one can tell if a synopsis can turn into a great novel, execution is probably 99% with the idea being only 1%. Some writers can make growing grass or drying paint fascinating, others fail even to make a gripping concept be readable.

Let it rip!

RK Wallis | 9 comments I'm with Keith, just write :)

Spotting plot holes in a synopsis is very different to spotting plot holes in a book. They're different beasts.

I feel you're bursting with ideas and trying to cram them in one book. Concentrate on the earthquake idea, I've never seen that before, definitely develop that. I felt the young searcher is your protag, instinctively I was drawn to his story.

Good luck :)
